  • Publication number: 20150010880
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a dental model for removable insertion in a recess of a holder, which dental model has a referencing, comprising at least one tooth part having a base to be inserted into the recess, wherein the at least one tooth part is produced using digitized data of a jaw in that the digitized data are saved in a computer beforehand and supplied to a processing machine to produce the at least one tooth part. In order to ensure simple handling of the dental model and in particular to prevent faulty insertion of the dental model or segment, according to the invention the referencing is saved in the computer and, in consideration of the referencing, the at least one tooth part is produced as having the base as a unit.

  • Patent number: 8501082
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a multipart assembly of sintered oxide ceramic material, including one first component which at least partially surrounds one second component in such a manner that detaching the first component from the second component is not possible without destroying the first and/or second component. The assembly is produced by producing a single-part first shaped part and a single-part second shaped part from an oxide ceramic blank, whereby the first shaped part and the second shaped part are enlarged to compensate for the shrinkage during sintering, and assembling the sintered shaped part as second component with the first shaped part and subsequently sintering them together.

  • Patent number: 7596287
Abstract: A method for the three-dimensional determination and digitization of a plaster- or positive-model, in particular for the production of replacement teeth, with improved handling and costs. According to the method, a plaster- or positive-model is clamped in a mounting with a defined orientation and irradiated by means of a radiation source; the radiation reflected by the plaster- or positive-model is recorded and evaluated by a scanning unit. Separation information is generated, and defined movement of the plaster- or positive-model relative to the radiation source takes place along an axis (y), approximately perpendicular to the direction of radiation and linking the displacement with the separation information. The invention also relates to a device for carrying out the method.

  • Patent number: 7077391
Abstract: A holding device comprises a cylindrical or prismatic, porous ceramic blank and elements for clamping in a machine tool for processing the blank by removing material, in order to produce a ceramic workpiece. A narrow frame is fixed by an adhesive connection over at least part of the periphery of the blank, which is held without stresses, in the area of a plane encompassing the longitudinal middle axis (A) of the blank. The frame only covers a small part of the surface of the blank and can be detached and held in a stable holder with a clamping adapter, in such a way that it cannot slide. The entire combination is fixed in the machine tool in such a way as to be resistant to twisting and sliding. The ceramic workpiece emerges continuously form the ceramic blank without predetermination of the advance direction, until holding segments which can then only be freely selected according to number and location have been formed.
