  • Patent number: 11941000
Abstract: An embodiment includes processing a dataset to generate a set of feature vectors that include a first feature vector corresponding to a first concept within a user's areas of interest and a second feature vector corresponding to a second concept within the user's areas of study. The embodiment identifies clusters of the feature vectors and identifies key features that most contribute to influencing the clustering algorithm. The embodiment selects the first feature vector in response to a user query, and then selects the second feature vector based on an overlap between key features of the first and second feature vectors and a degree of dissimilarity between the first and second concepts. The embodiment outputs a query response that includes the second concept. The embodiment also determines an effectiveness value based on sensor data indicative of a user action responsive to the outputting of the response to the query.

  • Publication number: 20240092329
Abstract: A vehicle brake system includes a hydraulic service brake system having a service brake circuit and a trailer brake control system. The trailer brake control system includes a trailer brake valve with a service brake demand input port and a trailer brake demand output port connected to a trailer brake control coupling. The output at the trailer brake demand output port is dependent on the pressure applied at the service brake demand input port. An electronic trailer brake control system has a solenoid control valve to connect the service brake demand input port to a source of pressurized hydraulic fluid to trigger an output at the trailer brake demand output port. An ECU is configured to actuate the control valve to apply the trailer brakes if it determines that the vehicle is at risk of jack-knifing. The system may also include a shuttle valve.

  • Publication number: 20220221678
Abstract: An optical element held in a holder has a first optical surface which has no rotational symmetry with regard to its imaging axis. The holder has at least one reference element, which defines a position and/or orientation of the holder in a predefined coordinate system which compensates for a difference between an actual pose of the first optical surface and a target pose of the first optical surface in the holder at least in one degree of freedom. The reference element defines at least one specific azimuthal position of the holder. Also provided is a method for adjusting the holder of an optical element that has at least a first optical surface, which has no rotational symmetry with regard to its imaging axis, to a difference between an actual pose of the first optical surface and a target pose of the first optical surface in the holder.

  • Patent number: 11145095
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for presenting graphical user interfaces comprising multiple components interrelated such that inputs received in one component of a graphical user interface render automatic and corresponding updates for another component of the graphical user interface. In one aspect, a method includes the actions of presenting a graphical user interface; and receiving user input of one or more parameters, the graphical user interface including a calendar portion and an associated graphical portion, the calendar portion comprising a date box for each date in a range of dates, and the graphical portion specifying non-date parameters for trips beginning on each date of the range of dates. A change in the calendar portion of the graphical user interface automatically renders a corresponding change in the graphical portion of the graphical user interface.

  • Patent number: 10962359
Abstract: A measuring assembly for detecting the wall thickness of a pipe, including an ultrasonic probe and a testing head with a main element which receives an ultrasonic probe and the lower face of which defines a main element support surface is provided. The testing head has two wing elements, the lower face of each of which defines a wing element support surface and which are held on the main element in a pivotal manner about pivot axes extending substantially parallel to one another in a longitudinal direction such that the wing element support surfaces can be moved towards each other and away from each other. The wing elements are connected via synchronizing means such that the pivotal movements of the wing elements about the corresponding pivot axes are carried out in a synchronous manner. An associated method is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20200285377
Abstract: A computerized watch is described that receives, from an application that is currently executing, information about a user controllable operation being performed by the application. The computerized watch automatically generates a dynamic control element associated with the user controllable operations being performed by the application. The dynamic control element includes: a first portion that presents at least a subset of the information about the user controllable operation being performed by the application, and a second portion that obtains user input that controls the user controllable operation. The computerized watch outputs, for display, a user interface that includes: the dynamic control element, and one or more static control elements that control other operations being performed by the computerized watch.

  • Publication number: 20200218488
Abstract: Provided are a system and method of input to a computer in a vehicle. An electronic communication is formed between a first electronic device and a display of a second electronic device that is viewable by a user from a location in the vehicle, including providing by the first electronic device a first input mode for the second electronic device. A multimodal application is executed that permits the user to interact with the display of the second electronic device by a combination of the first input mode and at least one second input mode for the second electronic device. The combination of the first input mode and the at least one second input mode controls the display of the first electronic device.
