  • Patent number: 11844530
Abstract: A saw gear set comprising a set of saw blades and a saw drive (1), wherein each saw blade of the set is configured to be coupled to the saw drive (1) by means of a coupling mechanism (100), which coupling mechanism (100) is configured to transmit a driving force of the saw drive (1) to the saw blade in a force transmission point, for oscillating the saw blade around a pivot axis (300). Each saw blade of the set is configured to be pivotably borne around the pivot axis (300). In operation, an oscillation angle (?) around the pivot axis (300) is different for each saw blade of the set depending on a pivot distance between the pivot axis (300) and the force transmission point which varies for each saw blade of the set.

  • Publication number: 20230372611
Abstract: A medication delivery device (MDD) (e.g., injection pen, wearable pump) is paired with an external device (e.g., smart phone, iPad, computer) via wireless link or wireline connection. The MDD provides to the external device captured data from the flow sensor relating to medicine delivery to a patient to ensure complete delivery and minimize MDD misuse or malfunction or inaccuracies in dosing. The MDD can have Bluetoothâ„¢ and/or near field communication (NFC) communication circuits for proximity-based pairing and connectivity with the external device for real-time or deferred transfer of captured data to the external device, depending on memory and power availability at the MDD. The MDD or external device can use captured data and corresponding time stamps to determine flow infomatics such as flow rate, total dose delivered, and dose completion status. An LED on the MDD indicates states such as powered on, paired, delivery in progress and delivery completion.

  • Publication number: 20230013089
Abstract: A surgical saw blade has an upper surface and a lower surface, and includes a first end having right and left side edges, where the first end is configured to connect to an oscillating head of a powered saw. The saw blade also has a cutting end; and an elongated shank connecting the first end and the cutting end. The first end of the saw blade may be narrower than the shank, and a stopping surface may connect the first end to the elongated shank. The stopping surface is configured to engage the oscillating head of the powered saw, so as to ensure correct positioning of the saw blade relative to the oscillating head. The elongated shank of the saw blade may have an elongated hole through the shank, where the size and shape of the elongated hole are configured to optimize a resonant frequency and/or a dynamic stiffness of the saw blade. The cutting end of the saw blade may have a plurality of first teeth thereon, where each first tooth is mounted on a distal end of a tine.

  • Publication number: 20210153957
Abstract: Surgical tools and robotic systems adaptable for treating a left side or a right side of a patient with minimal interference with the patient and surrounding operative site are disclosed. In some embodiments, a surgical tool can include a body, an end-effector, a first connector, a second connector, and a third connector. The end-effector can extend from a distal end of the body and be movable relative to the body about a pivot axis. The first connector can rigidly secure the body to a planar mechanism. The second and third connectors can rigidly secure a distal part and a proximal part of a tracker, respectively, to the body. The first and second connectors can be symmetrical to each other with respect to a plane including a longitudinal axis of the body and the pivot axis and can be suited for attachment of either the tracker or the planar mechanism.
