  • Publication number: 20110168586
Abstract: A method for marking multiple components, each of which has at least one transponder and a storage device. A first marked component comes in contact with second components disposed in the range thereof and transmits information to them. The components mark themselves while taking the information transmitted by the first component into consideration. At least one second component after the marking thereof comes in contact with further components in the range thereof that are not marked yet in order to bring about the marking thereof. A group of components marked in this way, a corresponding container for carrying out the method, and a rolling bearing, which is a possible component to be marked in this way, are also disclosed. As a result, the self-organization and marking of a group of components is achieved with the help of an interconnected network.

  • Patent number: 7658547
Abstract: The invention relates to a radial roller bearing, having an outer bearing ring and an inner bearing ring, and rolling bodies located between the rings. Some of the rollers are formed by individual hollow rollers of a shape memory alloy. The cross-section of the shape memory alloy rollers is deformed during the assembly of the radial roller bearing to fit the dimensions of the free space between the rims of the rings. The rollers are introduced into the radial roller bearing through the free space between the rims of the bearing rings. After introduction into the radial roller bearing and once they have reached a specific temperature, the rollers independently regain their original shape.

  • Patent number: 7650254
Abstract: A method for detection and quantitative evaluation of a balance error occurring in a component-bearing system. Static and dynamic forces acting upon the bearing are determined by sensors of a measuring bridge, which are disposed on a rolling bearing and which change the inherent electrical resistance according to the applied pressure, and are made available for analysis in a computer in the form of a periodic test signal that is common to both forces. In order to analyze the test signal, the weighted average of the modulation frequency generated by a balance error and the weighted mean variance thereof are determined from the test signal. The variance is then compared with a given variance threshold value. A variance lying below the variance threshold value is considered to be an indication of a significant balance error in the bearing.

  • Patent number: 7637669
Abstract: The anti-friction bearing has an outer bearing ring, an inner bearing ring and rolling bodies that are located between the bearing rings. The race of the outer bearing ring and the inner bearing ring are laterally delimited by two continuous rims that are formed as one piece with the races. The bearing is filled with the rolling bodies through the free space between the two rims. A partial quantity of the rolling bodies is made of a shape memory alloy, the cross-section of the bodies being deformed to fit the dimensions of the free space between the rims. After introduction into the bearing and once they have reached a specific temperature, the bodies regain their original shape.

  • Patent number: 7568842
Abstract: A meter bearing with a recess located at the periphery of at least one of the bearing rings. Expansion-measuring strips are disposed in the recess and conducting paths and electronic modules are arranged on a supporting material and evaluate and transmit the output signals of the expansion-measuring strips. The expansion-measuring strips are connected to the electrical conducting paths which extend to the electronic modules. In order to reduce the space required for such a measuring and evaluation system in a meter bearing, the expansion-measuring strips are placed below and/or above the radial plane of the supporting material and of the conductor paths and electronic modules located thereupon.
