  • Patent number: 8980206
Abstract: A method is illustrated and described for reducing unwanted substances by injecting a reactant into a flue gas of a steam generator. In order that the reactant can also be used in larger steam generators and/or combustion chambers, a method is proposed, in which the reactant is injected into the combustion chamber of the steam generator via a reactant opening of a multi-component nozzle, in which an enveloping medium is injected into the combustion chamber through at least one enveloping medium opening arranged outside the reactant opening, and in which the enveloping medium at least partly envelops the reactant in the combustion chamber and in this way at least partly shields the reactant from the flue gas.

  • Patent number: 8646664
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for the metered removal of a fine to coarse-grained solid matter or a solid matter mixture from a storage container, comprising a device for forming a fluidized bed in the discharge region or in a metering chamber of the metering container, wherein fluidization that is as optimal as possible is to be created in the lower region of such a receiving or metering container while avoiding any additional systems, mechanical elements, or extensive installations. This is achieved according to the method in that a gas is additionally introduced in the region of the metering chamber bottom for forming a fluidized bed that loosens the solid matter, and a gas is introduced via swirl nozzles for bringing about the rotation of the fluidized bed.

  • Publication number: 20130036954
Abstract: With an apparatus for supplying multiple burners with fine-grained fuel from a storage container, with thermal conversion of solid fuels in a gasification reactor, wherein the storage container is equipped with a discharge cone, a solution is supposed to be created with which the required excess gas amounts can be reduced and it is possible to do without separate discharge cones per burner line, without giving up the uncoupling of the burner lines. • Publication number: 20130036622
Abstract: A fluidized bed reactor for thermally pre-treating solid raw materials containing water using a stepped, stationary fluidized bed, including at least two concentrically arranged treatment zones. Each treatment zone has at least one separate gas inlet for fluidizing gas. Each treatment zone is divided from the respective other adjacent treatment zone by an overflow weir, and the innermost treatment zone has an outlet on the floor for reaction products. The solid raw material is fed into the outermost treatment zone of the fluidized bed. A first temperature and a first residence time are set in a first step, and a second temperature and a second residence time are set in a second. The temperatures of the fluidizing gas of the first and second steps are controlled separately. The fluidized material flows from the outer treatment zone over a weir into the inner treatment zone, and is drawn through the outlet.

  • Patent number: 8303904
Abstract: With the help of a fixing device for catalyzer particles, wherein the catalyzer particles are packed in a bed which can be passed through by a gas flow in the direction of gravity, it is intended to achieve a minimum specific pressure loss which will remain low even if dirt should arise from the operating process; a fixing device which has a minimum influence on the period of presence of the gas flowing through; which ensures the reliable hold-down of the catalyzer particles even at high approach velocities; and which is flexible to a certain degree in order to adapt to bed changes. This is achieved by placing at least one layer of a metal braiding on the packed bed of the catalyzer particles, and the metal braiding consisting of individual metal braiding elements which are firmly braided together.

  • Publication number: 20120272875
Abstract: Disclosed is a burner for particulate fuel, in particular made of biomass, with a primary tube and a core tube arranged in the primary tube. The primary tube and the core tube form a primary tube gap and the primary tube gap is configured to guide a flow of particulate fuel and gaseous combustion means from an inlet-side end to an outlet-side opening of the primary tube. In order to prevent the drawbacks occurring when using coarse-grain particles, preferably biomass, as a fuel for dust firing, or at least to reduce them without having to accept an increased outlay for equipment and/or additional energy losses, at least one device is provided for centring the flow within the primary tube in the region of the outlet-side end of the primary tube.

  • Publication number: 20120269586
Abstract: With a device for feeding a fluid, such as a gas or a liquid, into a solid-conveying line, wherein the fluid is first passed into a ring space that surrounds the solid-conveying line, and from there into the solid-conveying line, conveying of coal in the form of dust or flue ash, for example, is to be undertaken in gasification systems, at elevated temperatures, at great output and great operational reliability. This is achieved in that the solid-conveying line is shorter, in the ring space for forming a ring gap, than the length of the ring space, wherein installations for producing a vortex flow of the fluid that is introduced are provided in the ring space.
