Publication number: 20240155588Abstract: Embodiments include a communication system including host computer, base station, and UE, and methods therein. The host computer provides user data and initiates a transmission carrying the user data to the UE via a cellular network comprising the base station. The UE receives, from the base station, an indication of an active bandwidth part (BWP), which is of size NBWP,1size in number of frequency-domain resource blocks (RBs). The UE receives an indication of one or more frequency-domain RBs assigned within the active BWP for carrying the user data. The indication is encoded based on a size NBWP,2size (<size NBWP,1size) of another BWP than the active BWP. The UE decodes the indication to obtain a starting virtual RB and a length of contiguously allocated RBs within the active BWP. The starting virtual RB is encoded with resolution K RBs, with K being based on a ratio of sizes NBWP,1size and NBWP,2size.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 19, 2023Publication date: May 9, 2024Inventors: Jingya Li, Robert Baldemair, Xingqin Lin, Zhipeng Lin, Stefan Parkvall, Jianwei Zhang

Patent number: 10235706Abstract: Various examples of methods and systems for providing reminders for products in proximity are described. In one implementation, a method may receive information related to a list of one or more items available for sale at a physical store, wherein the list is associated with a user. The method may also receive information related to a location of a user device associated with the user. Based at least in part on a distance between the user device and at least one item on the list of one or more items, the method may further providing an indication to the user device that the user device is proximate the at least one item on the list of one or more items.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 2014Date of Patent: March 19, 2019Assignee: WALMART APOLLO, LLCInventors: Valerie Goulart, Stefan Li

Patent number: 9928541Abstract: A computer-implemented method is disclosed herein. The method includes the step of receiving, with a processing device of a guidance server, a series of guidance request signals from an electronic computing device operated by a consumer shopping in a retail store. Each guidance request signal contains an alphanumeric character. The method also includes the step of determining, with the processing device, at least one location within the retail store in response to the alphanumeric characters contained in any already-received guidance request signals after each of the series of guidance request signals is received. The method also includes the step of transmitting, with the processing device, a series of guidance response signals to the electronic computing device in response to the determination of the at least one location. Each of the series of guidance response signal contains data indicative of the determined location within the retail store.Type: GrantFiled: June 28, 2013Date of Patent: March 27, 2018Assignee: WAL-MART STORES, INC.Inventors: Valerie Goulart, Stefan Li
