  • Publication number: 20240003311
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method and a device for diagnosing an internal combustion engine of a powertrain. The powertrain includes the internal combustion engine and a transmission unit, and the diagnosis is carried out using a running irregularity signal, where potentially a gear change is actively requested. The method includes ascertaining a diagnostic value of the internal combustion engine during operation using the running irregularity signal of the internal combustion engine. The powertrain is operated using a diagnostic gear of the transmission unit. The method also includes detecting the diagnostic gear which is engaged in the transmission unit while ascertaining the diagnostic value; and comparing the ascertained diagnostic value with a predefined diagnostic threshold value and comparing the diagnostic gear of the transmission unit with at least one predefined gear of the transmission unit.

  • Patent number: 11585615
Abstract: A machine comprising: a lance, the lance configured to clean insides of tubes; a guide way positioned near the tubes; a transversal drive support slidable on the guide way and configured to move the lance along the guide way towards an insertion head; a rotational drive coupled to the lance for controlling rotation of the lance; and a feeding system coupled to the lance, wherein the guide way forms at least one supporting lance channel over a length of the guide way, the at least one channel forming an enclosure from all sides for guiding the lance, whereby a part on the circumference of the enclosure is made of a flexible lip, which lip can be locally bent by deflectors travelling with the lance.

  • Publication number: 20210270550
Abstract: Lances for a heat exchanger tube lancing machine may be continuously supported in radial direction by being guided in a channel. Each channel has one solid bottom and two solid sides. The top of each channel is covered by a rubberlike lip or lip stripes, for instance a semi-flexible polyurethane sheet. Due to the narrow guiding surfaces within the channel it is possible to use more flexible high-pressure hoses as lances, which will not buckle though there might be severe advancing forces.

  • Publication number: 20120090651
Abstract: A pair of parallel metal lances is driven by a transversal drive into and out of heat exchanger tubes. The lances are supported by a plurality of spaced apart, retractable door supports so that the transversal drive mechanism can approach the tube sheet of the heat exchanger tubes as closely as possible. A pair of rotational drive motors rotates the lances at a user controllable speed. As the lances are moved into the tubes, the interlocked support doors retract one at a time, sequentially. Similarly, as the lances are withdrawn from the tubes, the support doors close one at a time in an interlocked fashion.

  • Patent number: 8122898
Abstract: A rotating and telescoping cleaning system improves high pressure water cleaning of the inner surfaces of vessels or tanks. Vessels can be vertically divided with dividing plates with centered through-holes. Synchronized and controlled transverse and rotary movements of water jets result in a controlled spiral or helical cleaning track along the vessel walls. The water jets are directed at a pre-adjusted distance from the vessel wall and the travel speed of the water nozzle jets is exactly controlled allowing the removal of very hard deposits. One pass with the tool carrier with operating water jets along the length axis of the vessel results in a thoroughly cleaned vessel wall. The tool unfolds and folds inside of the vessel powered by the flow of the high pressure cleaning water.

  • Publication number: 20100139019
Abstract: Apparatus for cleaning the interior surfaces of large diameter pipe provides a lightweight basic structure that is easily adapted to clean a range of diameters of pipe. The apparatus uses an interlocked drive mechanism to develop axial movement of the device and synchronize the rotary movement of the cleaning nozzles. The rate of movement is adjustable, to accommodate pipe of varying diameters. That way, the cleaning spray covers a swath of pipe surface, with a minimum overlap between passes, with no gaps in the cleaning.
