  • Publication number: 20130178546
Abstract: Process for producing synthetic natural gas (SNG) which is provided in an energy-efficient way at the inlet pressure into a downstream pipeline system. For this purpose, a synthesis gas containing carbon oxides and hydrogen is converted into a product gas rich in methane by multi-stage catalytic methanation in a main reaction zone and a post-reaction zone, wherein the adjustment of the target pressure is effected by compression before the main reaction zone and/or before or in the post-reaction zone.

  • Publication number: 20130160877
Abstract: An assembly is provided that integrates a jet pump with a liquid trap to drain liquid fuel from vapor flow, such as vapor vented from a fuel tank. The assembly includes a housing that has a liquid trap configured to trap liquid carried in vapor flowing through the housing. A jet pump has a venturi nozzle and is in selective fluid communication with the liquid trap so that liquid flow through the venturi nozzle induces draining of the liquid trap.

  • Publication number: 20130104737
Abstract: A method of removing contaminants from a gas stream utilizing a supersonic venturi including a converging section, a throat, and a diverging section is provided. A contaminated gas stream and a scrubbing liquid stream are introduced into the converging section, thereby forming a mixed stream which experiences choked flow upon exiting. The choked mixed stream is introduced into the throat section wherein the scrubbing liquid is contacted with the contaminated gas stream. The contaminated scrubbing liquid stream is removed from the supersonic venture scrubber, and an essentially pure gas stream is removed from the diverging section. A flow modification device may be introduced into the throat section. The flow modification device may be either axially or radially adjustable in order to effect the atomization of the scrubbing liquid and/or the contacting of atomized scrubbing liquid with the contaminated gas stream within the throat section.

  • Publication number: 20120318814
Abstract: An assembly mountable to a fuel tank and connectable to a carbon canister includes a housing defining an internal cavity. A vapor vent valve is configured to permit fluid communication from the fuel tank through the vapor vent valve from an inlet to an outlet, and in all cases is isolated from the internal cavity so that fluid flows through the vapor vent valve from the inlet to the outlet without fluid communication with the internal cavity. A first vent line connects the outlet of the vapor vent valve with a first port of the housing. A second vent line connects a second port of the housing with the carbon canister. At least a portion of the first vent line is above a predetermined liquid fuel level within the tank when the assembly is mounted to the fuel tank and tilted at up to a predetermined angle.

  • Publication number: 20070209021
Abstract: A data input system has a key pad with a plurality of keys and a display. The selected key is displayed in the display, but the character size of the selected key on the display is small and difficult to recognize. The face of the selected key appears on the display as a pop-up display in an enlarged scale. Thus, it is easy to recognize the selected key.

  • Publication number: 20060253400
Abstract: A digital content distribution system (1) is composed of a right management server (100) and a user terminal (110) which are connected via a transmission line (120). The right management server (100) is made up of: a license data generating unit (304) which issues license data (usage right information) (1700) indicating a usage rule of content that is a digital copyrighted work to the user terminal (110); and an access condition setting unit (305) which notifies the user terminal (110) of update information (access condition) regarding necessity of updating the license data (1700) issued to the user terminal (110).

  • Patent number: 7110543
Abstract: At the time of moving a content from an e-book content receiving terminal 102 to a copyright protection medium 103, from among a plurality of usage rules set to the content, those defined by the copyright protection medium 103 is moved to the copyright protection medium 103 by a content moving section 106, and those not defined by the copyright protection medium 103 are transmitted to a usage rule management server 104 via a communications section 105. On the other hand, at the time of moving the content from the copyright protection medium 103 to the e-book content receiving terminal 102, the usage rules from the copyright protection medium 103 and the usage rules from the usage rule management server 104 are combined together. In this manner, even when a content is moved through a copyright protection medium in a which usage rules of the content are not fully defined therein, none of the usage rules is lost.

  • Publication number: 20060173787
Abstract: The data protection management apparatus protects digital licenses and digital data, so that the abuse and illegal use of digital data is prevented. The apparatus has an I/O port, session manager, license management engine, usage rules administrator, encryption engine, memory manager, and memory. The license management engine acquires, stores, and manages licenses in sessions opened by the session manager, and the usage rules administrator provides an encryption algorithm and protocol for securely storing and sending digital license data by applying the usage rules to the use of licenses managed by the license management engine.

  • Publication number: 20060085814
Abstract: In a content reproduction apparatus according to the present invention, for example, a content usage time indicating a usage permitted time of content is set for the content, and a content reproduction management unit 811 manages a usage state and a rewind limit position of the content. Here, the rewind limit position is a position which indicates that the content cannot be reproduced till the end in the case where a user executes a rewind operation. For example, in the case where the user attempts to execute the rewind operation on the part that is in front of the rewind limit position, the content management unit 811 notifies the user of a warning message in advance.

  • Patent number: 6329660
Abstract: To derive sunlight induced fluorescence from radiance measurements, a first radiance measurement is taken inside an atmospheric absorption band, and an additional radiance measurement is taken outside of the atmospheric absorption band. Images of sunlight-induced fluorescence are obtained with the aid of a camera. Air- or spaceborne spectrometers and image points on non-fluorescent objects are used to determine the radiance conditions on the ground and the influence of the atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 6290426
Abstract: A strut-rod connector enables the rod to be quickly and easily attached at any adjusted position along the strut, or axially adjusted. The connector has an internal and external head assembled to each other for limited rocking and opening and closing movement. The rod is threaded in the inner head and extends through a transverse slot in the outer head. A lock nut quickly clamps the parts together, and each self-centers on the legs of the strut. The connection can be made by simply rocking the assembly of the two heads and rod to insert the assembly and rod at any desired location. Tightening a lock nut centers and clamps the assembly and rod in place. Optimum loading in either axial direction of the rod is provided.
