  • Patent number: 11965369
Abstract: An adjustable hidden or invisible hinge for mounting a door-panel or window sash to a frame is provided that is useable for either rebated or flush mount applications using the same hinge. This is possible due to the use of two different types of arm systems that connect the frame part of the hinge to the sash or door part. These include a rotational lever arm system that allows for 180° guided rotational movement which is combined with a translational arm system that at the same time superimposes a translational movement of the sash movable body relative to the sash body.

  • Publication number: 20240073810
Abstract: In one embodiment, a device identifies a plurality of paths in a wireless backhaul network between a gateway and a plurality of access points that provide wireless connectivity to a mobile system. The device determines a movement of the mobile system. The device determines, based on the movement of the mobile system, that a particular path in the plurality of paths is not needed to provide wireless connectivity to the mobile system. The device causes one or more networking nodes along the particular path to enter into a power saving mode.

  • Publication number: 20230361891
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to 3-D visualization of wireless signal propagation representing wireless signal strength and interference in 3-D space. The present technology can identify a plurality of access points (APs) in the 3-D space, determine a wireless signal strength for each of the plurality of APs, and determine an interference with the wireless signal strength of each of the plurality of APs, wherein the interference is caused by a neighboring AP of the plurality of APs in the 3-D space. The present technology can further present a 3-D visualization of a wireless signal propagation pattern representing the wireless signal strength from each of the plurality of APs in the 3-D space and the interference from the neighboring AP.

  • Patent number: 11799514
Abstract: In one embodiment, a device identifies a path of travel of a mobile system. The device subdivides the path of travel into a plurality of zones. The device generates time-slotted channel hopping schedules for the plurality of zones, each time-slotted channel hopping schedule having an associated zone among the plurality of zones. The device causes the mobile system to communicate wirelessly with networking infrastructure located along the path of travel, in accordance with a particular one of the time-slotted channel hopping schedules while the mobile system is located in its associated zone.

  • Publication number: 20230092337
Abstract: In one embodiment, a mobile system scans wireless channels for any upcoming access points using a dedicated monitor radio of the mobile system. The mobile system identifies a particular wireless channel in use by an upcoming access point. The mobile system notifies a second radio of the mobile system of the particular wireless channel. The mobile system performs a handoff between a current access point and the upcoming access point in part by switching the second radio of the mobile system to the particular wireless channel of the upcoming access point.

  • Patent number: 11575612
Abstract: In one embodiment, a networking device receives packets of a traffic flow destined for a mobile system. The networking device sends a first flowlet of the traffic flow towards the mobile system via a first wireless access point. The networking device determines an idle time between the first flowlet and a second flowlet of the traffic flow. The networking device sends, based on the idle time, the second flowlet towards the mobile system via a second wireless access point.

  • Publication number: 20220183111
Abstract: In one embodiment, a gateway to a Layer-3 network forms a first Layer-2 tunnel between the gateway and a first wireless access point (AP) that communicates wirelessly with a first mobile node of a mobile system (MS) via a first wireless connection. The gateway generates a mapping that associates an onboard device of the MS with the first AP and an identifier for the MS, based on traffic conveyed via the first Layer-2 tunnel and associated with the onboard device, the traffic comprising a header that indicates the identifier for the MS. The gateway receives, from a second AP, an indication that the MS is roaming from the first wireless connection to a second wireless connection, the indication including the identifier for the MS. The gateway updates the mapping to associate the onboard device of the MS with a second AP, based on the indication that the MS is roaming.

  • Patent number: 10907423
Abstract: A handling apparatus moves drilling elements from and to a drill floor of a drilling rig includes a main support structure having a first end and a second end. An extendable ramp is between the first end of the main support structure and the drill floor. A carrier is movable relative to the main support structure and includes a first end close to the ramp and a second end distant from said ramp. A lift arm lifts and positions the carrier and includes a first end and a second end. The carrier moves between: a first position, in which the carrier is arranged above the main support structure; and a second position, in which the carrier is lifted at the level of the drill floor. The lift arm is under the carrier to move and support the second end of the carrier from and to the second position.

  • Patent number: 10094187
Abstract: A collector circuit and associated circulation process, for intercepting and selectively diverting, at least partially, a fluid flow continuously flowing in a fluid circulation system, for drilling rigs. The collector includes a first sub-circuit with a first duct, with a first valve, and a second duct with a second valve; and; a second sub-circuit; The first sub-circuit, depending on the operating configurations of the first valve and the second valve, is adapted to allow the transit of the fluid flow in the first duct, and selectively divert fluid flow towards the second duct. The second sub-circuit is fluid-dynamically connected to the second duct of the first sub-circuit for receiving fluid flow, diverted by the first sub-circuit, and directing it towards a first outlet of the second sub-circuit. The second sub-circuit and the first sub-circuit are independent, and the second sub-circuit is removable from the collector circuit.

  • Patent number: 9757328
Abstract: The present invention relates to formulations of gelled lysozyme achieved by the addition of water to a lysozyme suspension in a solvent, such as an alcohol, with retention of enzymatic activity. It was surprisingly discovered that lysozyme itself is a gelling substance (self-gel) and, therefore, it can be advantageously formulated into topical compositions without the addition of other gelling substances such as cellulose, starch or other polysaccharides. The activity of the lysozyme is enhanced as compared to other formulations of comprising lysozyme. The formulations contained in the present invention are useful in methods in the fields of therapeutics, disinfectants, sanitizers, personal hygiene, and cosmetics for human and veterinary use.
