    Abstract: A method of sending a data flow including a video flow from a sending entity to a receiving entity over a telecommunications network, includes having the sending entity: obtain from the receiving entity information about a downlink bandwidth available for reception of the data flow at the receiving entity side; obtain information about an uplink bandwidth available for the transmission of the data flow at the sending entity side; set transmission parameters of the data flow to be sent to the receiving entity based on the information about the available downlink bandwidth and the available uplink bandwidth; and transmit the data flow in accordance with the set transmission parameters.
