Abstract: A procedure (400) is disclosed for rendering information comporting to a media asset or service. A determination is made as to whether or not a party that requests such information is registered with a media service (402). An additional determination is made as to whether a device at the destination address that will receive such information is registered with a media service (404). Proprietary elements will be transmitted to the destination address if the requesting party and the receiving device are registered with a media service, while public elements will be transmitted to the destination address if either the requesting party or the receiving device at the destination is not registered with the media service (406).

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed towards grouping together media assets that are stored in different locations. Media assets are identified as having common classification by using the metadata associated with such media assets (420). Additional media assets are also added to such storage locations automatically (430), where the additional media assets share the same classifications as the previously classified media assets. Optionally, offers (425) are provided to a user based on such classification operations.

Abstract: A method and a digital locker system for providing digital locker services are described. Content offers come from external sources and locally hosted sources. Content offers from external sources are received and processed in a content offer processor along with catalog information. Content offers from locally hosted sources are retrieved and catalog information is generated accordingly. Both types of content offers are aggregated and prepared for storage in a content offer cache, which are then used for providing services, such as content query, to users. Content acquisition and playback requests from users are handled according to the provider of the requested content.
