Publication number: 20240131326Abstract: A self-anchoring helical wire structure electrode for energy conduction to or from a tissue target in a body, made of at least one wire rope consisting of biocompatible and conductive wire, and enclosing a hollow core within an inner diameter and having a longitudinal axis, an outer diameter and two ends, being flexible for self-bending in any direction up to 180 degrees on said longitudinal axis, and secured by being capable of self-forming a bunching anchor wider than the insertion channel when injected while its dispenser is substantially stationary.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 17, 2021Publication date: April 25, 2024Inventors: Stephan NIEUWOUDT, Manfred FRANKE, Shaher AHMED, Derrick LIU, Amelia HOWE, Emily SZABO, Jennifer PECK

Publication number: 20110010505Abstract: A resource management cache of a computing device receives a request for an item. The item may include any type of content, such as an image or a video. A rendition for the item is determined. The item may be stored in a plurality of renditions for retrieval. The resource management cache can send one or more requests to one or more sources for the rendition. The sources may include remote sources and also a local source. If a source responds with an indication the rendition is available, the rendition is sent to and received at the computing device. If no sources respond with an indication the rendition is available, the resource management cache may send a message asking if a source can generate the rendition from another rendition of the item. The rendition may be generated and it is sent to and received at the resource management cache.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 13, 2009Publication date: January 13, 2011Applicants: Sony Corporation, Sony Electronics IncInventors: Steve Burnap, Joshua Shagam, Stephan Szabo, Nicholas Trotta

Publication number: 20100058433Abstract: In one embodiment, policies and sources may be used to synchronize data. Sources, which contain knowledge about files and metadata, can pass events to policies when changes in data are detected. The policies may then manage the data synchronization with other sources. The sources are agnostic as to how the data is synchronized between sources. Also, the policies are agnostic of the data that is being managed by sources. Accordingly, a modular infrastructure is provided that allows sources and policies to be configured to interact modularly.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 28, 2008Publication date: March 4, 2010Applicants: Sony Corporation, Sony Electronics, Inc.Inventor: Stephan Szabo

Publication number: 20090132462Abstract: Particular embodiments generally relate to distributed metadata extraction. In one embodiment, metadata may be extracted for content. A plurality of engines may be provided that include different capabilities for extracting metadata. These engines may be distributed in one or more devices. Distributed metadata extraction may be performed using the engines in the one or more devices. To perform the distributed extraction, coordination may be needed. Different engines may extract different types of metadata. Thus, a list of capabilities for the engines may be provided to a coordinator. The coordinator may then determine a graph that describes and organizes different capabilities for different engines. When content is received, the coordinator may determine if metadata should be extracted for the content. Then, the coordinator uses the graph to determine an interconnection flow to extract the metadata.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 19, 2007Publication date: May 21, 2009Applicants: SONY CORPORATION, SONY ELECTRONICS INC.Inventor: Stephan Szabo

Publication number: 20050023511Abstract: A device for supporting a tensioning device in a wall-to-wall carpet for the purpose of balancing of sideways joining patterns of carpet tracks to a uniform pattern picture includes a planar plate (1), wherein the planar plate (1) is furnished on the bottom side with a plurality of parallel strips (3) and with the nails (4) disposed in a row in the parallel strips (3). A swivelable counter support (6,7) is arrestable at an arbitrary position of the plate 1 and provided for a connection rod (8) extending cross over the plate upper side toward a further shift plate (9) furnished at the bottom with nails and pressable away from the plate (1) held in the carpet floor by way of nails (4) by way of a toggle joint mechanism (13). A carpet track can therewith be stretched until a correct pattern picture is reached over the complete surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 31, 2003Publication date: February 3, 2005Inventor: Stephan Szabo

Patent number: 6062109Abstract: The pressure jaw (1) for a compression device to install floor elements in a diagonal manner relative to a rectangular floor area is generally triangular in shape, the longest side providing an edge part (2) bent downwardly to press against the outer edge of a floor element (4) whose outer edge is cut diagonally, preferably at an angle of 45.degree., in relation to the longest side of the floor element. On the two legs of equal length the pressure jaw includes edge strips (5) bent upwardly each of which serves to couple with a customary compression device that is designed to install floor panels parallel to the wall and which, for example, incorporates at the end of a compression belt (7) a similarly modified pressure jaw 6 which can be coupled with a pressure jaw (1) by the engaging of the edge strips (5).Type: GrantFiled: January 14, 1998Date of Patent: May 16, 2000Assignee: ProFloor Technology GmbHInventors: Moritz Muhlebach, Stephan Szabo

Patent number: 5946785Abstract: A pressure jaw (1) at the end of a clamping device for the laying of floating floor coverings like laminates and ready-made parquet which are joined by tongue and groove connections includes a long leg (2) and a perpendicular short leg (3), with a perpendicular horizontally protruding shoulder (5), so as to press against the carrier material of a floor covering plate (4). The long leg (2) includes at least two space adjusting-screws (7) separated from each other and insertable into threaded holes (6), by means of which the distance between it and the pressure jaw (1) can be adjusted by resting it on the floor covering plate (4). It thus occurs that the shoulder (5) presses basically directly below the spring (9) of the floor covering plates (4) of various floor coverings with differing material strength.Type: GrantFiled: December 24, 1997Date of Patent: September 7, 1999Assignee: Profloor Technology GmbHInventors: Moritz Muhlebach, Stephan Szabo

Patent number: 5788221Abstract: A multi-part gripping device for pressing together flooring elements, such as laminates and finished parquet, in side-by-side relationship includes two rod parts that are axially and telescopically connected, one of said rod parts including a pressure jaw at an end having parallel shoulders that extend toward the other rod part, the shoulders being at a different spacing from the associated rod part for abutting a base portion of a flooring element over which the gripping device is positioned. A longitudinally adjustable lead screw is pivotally connected between the two rod parts for moving the two rod parts together, such that a connecting pressure is applied to a flooring element being interconnectably positioned adjacent one or more previously positioned flooring elements.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 1997Date of Patent: August 4, 1998Assignee: Profloor Technology GmbHInventors: Moritz Muhlebach, Stephan Szabo

Patent number: 5283954Abstract: The blade includes a frame body designed as latticework which forms together with two handle shells which can be snapped onto its side the blade handle, and includes a blade which can be clamped by a clamping screw which can be screwed into the frame body into a thread thereof located at the foreward end section of the knife handle, which blade is pressed against a supporting body covered by hard metal and located in the frame body. By the pressing of the blade against the hard metal by means of a clamping screw of which the diameter is larger than the width of the blade any kind of blades can be clamped in the knife handle without using the form locked arresting between blade and knife handle for instance in form of recesses at the edge of the blade such as common at the blades of various designs being generally available on the market. The knife can, therefore, be used with all blades available on the market.Type: GrantFiled: November 17, 1992Date of Patent: February 8, 1994Inventor: Stephan Szabo
