  • Patent number: 8107804
Abstract: An energy accumulator system for accumulating heat from a heat source for subsequent supply to a heat demand, comprises an energy accumulator having a storage material in a heat-exchange relation with the heat source so as to store heat produced by the heat source. A controller is connected to the energy accumulator to obtain temperature data with respect to the storage material, and to the heat source so as to selectively actuate the heat source. An energy level calculator is associated with the controller to determine a storage capacity in the energy accumulator as a function of temperature data of the storage material. An operation identifier determines when to store energy in the energy accumulator as a function of the storage capacity and of condition data pertaining to the heat source. The controller actuates the energy accumulator and the heat source to store heat in the energy accumulator.

  • Patent number: 7707845
Abstract: A climate control system (10) for a cab/berth of a vehicle, comprises a climate control circuit (12) in which a first refrigerant circulates between at least an energy accumulator (20) in which an accumulator refrigerant is in heat exchange with the first refrigerant, a radiator (22) in the cab/berth to adjust a temperature of the cab/berth, and a heat-exchange unit (23). A refrigeration circuit (14) is provided for submitting a second refrigerant to a refrigeration cycle. An evaporation stage (43) is in heat-exchange relation with the heat-exchange unit (23) of the climate control circuit (12) such that the second refrigerant absorbs heat from the first refrigerant.

  • Publication number: 20100006255
Abstract: An energy recuperation system for storing energy in a process for subsequent supply to an energy demand in the process comprises a recuperation storage system having a phase-change storage material. Recuperation circuitry between the energy loss/availability, the energy demand of the process/processes and the recuperation storage system to allow heat exchanges therebetween. A controller obtains temperature data with respect to the storage material, the energy loss/availability and/or the recuperation circuitry so as to selectively actuate the recuperation circuitry. An energy level calculator determines a storage capacity in the recuperation storage system as a function of temperature data of the storage material. An operation identifier determines when to store energy in the recuperation storage system and when to supply energy to the process as a function of the storage capacity and of process data, whereby the controller actuates the recuperation circuitry to store and supply energy from/to the process.

  • Patent number: 7013504
Abstract: A top wall assembly to convert a shower enclosure into a therapeutic shower enclosure. The top wall assembly has an air blower in communication with one or more air return orifices in the top wall. An air distribution channel is in communication with the air blower and at least one air injecting orifice is provided in the top wall and communicates with the enclosure. A heater is provided in the air distribution channel for heating convected air therein to a temperature of up to about 75° C. to provide a stream of hot dry air circulating in the enclosure about a person's body standing therein whereby to cause the person's body to transpire and provide a therapeutic effect of shedding toxins through the skin. In combination with the hot dry air treatment there is available a chromotherapeutic and luminotherapeutic light treatment and an ion and ozone generator to inject ions and ozone in the hot dry air stream.
