  • Publication number: 20230396496
Abstract: Techniques for automated generation of rules associated with network functions are presented. A template generator component can generate, for each network function (NF), a rule template associated with the NF based on rule format parameters associated with an application or user, wherein the rule template can comprise a group of rule elements and one or more tags associated with one or more variables associated with the NF. A rule generator component can, for each desired event associated with each NF, automatically generate a rule based on the rule template and event-related data of a data file received from a user. As part of rule generation, for each tag, the rule generator component can identify the tag in the rule template, based on a tag indicator indicative of the tag, and replace the tag in the rule template with an item of the event-related data that relates to the variable.

  • Publication number: 20230384904
Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards automated generation of network data visualization dashboards. Automation can be achieved through the use of templates and data files. Templates can be combined with any of multiple different data files to produce network data visualization dashboard files. Different combinations of templates and different data files can result in different network data visualization dashboard files. The network data visualization dashboard files can be provided to a data visualization tool, platform, or service, which can generate network data visualization dashboards according to received network data visualization files.

  • Patent number: 9756494
Abstract: A processor receives a request to access the service via the software client. The processor sends to a network service provider a request for validation of a current location as to a coverage of an emergency service, when the current location was not previously validated for the coverage of the emergency service. The processor determines whether a response is received from the network service provider, indicating that the current location is validated for the coverage of the emergency service, wherein the response includes an address identifier associated with the current location for accessing the emergency service. The processor performs a registration with the network service provider via the software client at the current location, when the response is received indicating that the current location is validated for the coverage of the emergency service and enables the user to access the service via the software client at the current location.

  • Patent number: 9730043
Abstract: In compliance with regulatory requirements imposed on multicarrier wired/wireless network carriers, the disclosed system receives input representing a selection of a street address to be used as a current location associated with a user identity. The system determines an expiration date associated with the street address, designates the street address as a validated emergency contact location for the user identity in response to determining that the expiration date associated with the street address has not expired. The system thereafter permits the establishment of communications between the system and a disparate wireless network device associated with a multicarrier wireless network.

  • Patent number: 9705941
Abstract: A softphone application is provided that facilitates device switching between devices twinned therewith. In an aspect, a first device employing the softphone application generates a request to switch a media session between a second device and a third device to be between the first device and the third device and the softphone application sends, the request to an application server device associated with a cellular service provider identity. The request comprises a first identifier for the first device, a second identifier for the second device, and a device switch indicator. The request is configured to initiate a switch of the media session to being between the first device and the third device based on a determination that the first device and the second device are associated with a common mobile subscriber identity registered for an account associated with the cellular service provider identity.

  • Patent number: 9083793
Abstract: Many of the current IMS standards and enriched services were originally designed for the individual subscribers that are serviced by the wireless network. However, the IMS standards do not fully address the problem of providing the IMS enriched services and features to users connected to a PBX. The present invention discloses a method for providing IMS enriched services and features to users connected to a PBX or an IP-PBX. Access to network services can be secured through a web-friendly interface via the IMS, enabling third-party developers, service providers and even subscribers to self-manage their service experience while the network operator retains control over network resources.

  • Patent number: 9030956
Abstract: Different services are provided to different users or groups of users of an aggregate endpoint in an internet protocol multimedia subsystem (IMS) network. The different users or groups of users are differentiated based on service profiles designated by different PUIDs for the different users or groups of users of each of the users or groups of users. Different services for transmission and/or receipt of packets for the different users or groups of users of the aggregate endpoint are provided, depending upon the differentiation between the different users or groups of users.

  • Patent number: 8897287
Abstract: A system and method for processing a plurality of requests for a plurality of multi-media services received at a Private Service Exchange (PSX) defined on the system from a plurality of IP-communication devices. The system further includes a media server (MS) coupled to the PSX and to at least one IP Service Control Point (IP-SCP), which is operative to process the plurality of requests for the plurality of multi-media services. The IP-SCP further selectively directs the requests to the media server, which operates to form a preliminary multi-media communication path with a calling communication device. The MS further operates to play a plurality of announcements to the calling communication device over the preliminary multi-media communication path, as well as to collect caller-entered data from the calling communication device over the preliminary multi-media communication path.

  • Patent number: 8780738
Abstract: A method and apparatus for supporting enterprise addressing in networks are disclosed. For example, the method creates a Domain Name System (DNS) service record and loading said DNS service record in a public DNS server for a customer, wherein the DNS service record supports a mapping of a domain name of the customer to a sub-domain name of a service provider. The method receives a call destined to a customer endpoint device for the customer; and forwards the call to the customer in accordance with the DNS service record.

  • Patent number: 8654957
Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing one or more Internet Protocol (IP) services to users of a private branch exchange (PBX) in a network are disclosed. For example, the method receives user phone information from the private branch exchange (PBX) via a data feed, and stores the user phone information in a storage device located within the network.

  • Patent number: 8583102
Abstract: A method for determining an amount of time required to download a data file to a wireless device includes receiving information indicating a first amount of wireless bandwidth allocated for the download of the data file, calculating a first length of time required to download the data file to the wireless device based on the first amount of wireless bandwidth allocated, and comparing the first length of time required to a predetermined amount of time. If the first length of time required is less than the predetermined amount of time, the download begins. If the first length of time required is more than the predetermined amount of time, information indicating the first length of time required is sent to the wireless device, a start download signal is received from the wireless device, and download of the data file to the wireless device begins in response to the start download signal.
