  • Publication number: 20240170997
Abstract: An ultracapacitor module may include an ultracapacitor cell stack containing one or more ultracapacitor cells. An ultracapacitor module may include a bidirectional boost/buck DC/DC converter. The ultracapacitor cell stack and the DC/DC converter may be configured to be connected in series with a voltage supply bus of a vehicle. An ultracapacitor module may include a voltage sensor configured to determine an operating voltage of the voltage supply bus. An ultracapacitor module may include an electronic controller in electrical communication with the DC/DC converter and the voltage sensor. The electronic controller may be configured to control the DC/DC converter such that the ultracapacitor cell stack operates in a voltage range that is 20 to 80 percent of the operating voltage of the voltage supply bus.

The cell stack and the converter are configured to be connected in series with a voltage bus of a vehicle. The ultracapacitor module includes voltage sensors configured to determine a voltage value of each ultracapacitor cell. The ultracapacitor module includes electronically controlled switches connected in series with a bleed resistor. The electronically controlled switches and bleed resistors are connected in parallel with each of the ultracapacitor cells. The ultracapacitor module includes an electronic controller that communicates with the converter, the voltage sensors, and the switches.

  • Patent number: 5048806
Abstract: A collapsible frame is used as a door hanging aid and provides for two articulating U shaped channel members respectively hinged at proximate ends, one to the other together with one of the arms, which moves into a vertical orthogonal position relative to the other arm, which rests on the floor and the vertical arms support two lateral inclined members which stabilizes the unit in a vertical position. The vertical arm also has means to vary the effective width of the vertical channel of that arm so as to accommodate various thicknesses of doors and secure the door therein.

  • Patent number: 4262847
Abstract: A urethane foam gun is disclosed in which polyisocyanate and polyol feed streams are mixed with air under pressure within the gun with vigorous intermixing in the outlet nozzle to a condition ready for application. Once applied the foam polymerizes in place. The gun is formed with an integral block design in which dual plug valves are mounted for control of the streams. Actuation is achieved by a trigger valve mounted on the gun, and a second gun-mounted valve controls a solvent flush for cleaning to avoid polymerization within the gun itself. The gun is useful for foam-in-place applications, such as protective packaging.
