    Abstract: A lighting fixture for mounting under a cabinet or under a counter or on a wall area, including a housing having a device for mounting the housing under a cabinet or under a counter or on a wall area; a fluorescent light fixture mounted in the housing; a night light mounted in the housing; and a battery-operated detachable flashlight assembly removably mounted in the housing. The flashlight assembly includes a battery recharger, an electrical device, such as a male plug, for interconnecting the battery recharger and a power source, and an electrical device for sensing a power loss. The light fixture also includes a flashlight electrical connection in the housing, such as a plug receptacle, for connection to the male plug for supplying power from the power source to the detachable flashlight assembly; and one or more diffusers for the housing.
