Abstract: A hip pad is provided for decreasing a waist-to-hip ratio of a user and includes a generally elongated body having a hip portion and a thigh portion that are integrally formed with the generally elongated body. The hip pad also includes an interior surface of the hip portion that is contoured to an anatomical curvature of a hip region of the user. An interior surface of the thigh portion is contoured to the anatomical curvature of a thigh region of the user. A curved exterior surface of the hip portion is configured to decrease the waist-to-hip ratio of the user.

Abstract: Variable elements of a turbine engine such as variable inlet guide vanes, variable bleed valves and variable stator vanes can be adjusted to provide a desired level of power and/or efficiency for the turbine engine across a range of operating conditions. The variable element settings typically determined through experimentation when the engine is new. Unfortunately, over the life cycle of the turbine engine, as wear occurs, the original variable element settings may no longer provide a desired level of power and efficiency. To correct this problem, offsets to the original variable element settings are calculated based on observable operational conditions which provide a measure of the wear that has occurred. The offsets are applied to the original variable element settings to generate corrected variable element settings. These corrected variable element settings are then used to configure the turbine engine.

Abstract: Various embodiments concurrently process program content corresponding to multiple concurrently communicated programs. One embodiment provides a program content transporter that receives via a content stream selector a multiplexed signal that contains a plurality of program content portions that each correspond to one of a plurality of programs, and concurrently presents the program content portion corresponding to a first program of the plurality of programs and records the received program content portion corresponding to a second program of the plurality of programs.

Abstract: The present invention allows the user to correctly record every episode of a recurring program by updating the timing of the record for the instances of the recurring program. In addition, the present invention allows the user to record multiple episodes of a television program shown on one or more channels, regardless of when these episodes will play. The present invention also ensures that identical episodes are not recorded.

Abstract: An outside section for a split system air conditioning unit. The outside section has a housing including a first side, a second side, a top, a bottom, a front, and a back. The housing also includes an air inlet located in a middle portion of the front, and an air outlet located in the first side. A first baffle divides the housing interior into first and second segments. The first segment includes the air inlet, the air outlet and a heat exchange coil located therebetween, and the second segment includes a compressor operably connected to the heat exchange coil.
