  • Patent number: 6844857
Abstract: A container (10) (or other returnable item) for the storage and delivery of goods, comprises antenna means (16) for radio frequency use, and connection means (18) for receiving a removable drive circuit means (20). The drive circuit (20) is operable to communicate by means of the antenna (16) when connected therewith. The connections (18) serve, in use, to connect an installed drive circuit (20) with the antenna (16) to allow the drive circuit (20) to communicate. This allows the identity of the container or its contents to be communicated to a remote location.

  • Publication number: 20020195027
Abstract: A pallet (2) has a substantially planar deck (6), a supporting structure (10) that supports the deck (6) above the ground, and a plurality of retractable locating means (20). Each locating means (20) is adjustable between a first position in which the locating means extends above the deck (6) to engage and limit movement of articles placed on that surface, and a second position in which the locating means is located at or below the deck (6), such that the surface is substantially unobstructed.

  • Patent number: 6250490
Abstract: Containers which can support like containers to form a stack each includes formations which interengage to allow a security tag to be introduced, to lock the containers against unauthorized separation. This makes a stack sufficiently secure and sufficiently heavy as to be unattractive to a pilferer.

  • Patent number: 6059114
Abstract: An open-topped container (10) has stacking bars (12) which have a series of equally spaced ribs (18) projecting upwardly to engage with ribs (22) formed in the base of a container stacked above.

  • Patent number: 5797508
Abstract: Containers 10 have a base 12 and four side walls 14 which may fold to a stowed or collapsed position. Hinges connect each wall 14 to an intermediate member 16 which is clipped (preferably removably) to the base 12. Various interlocking formations 34, 36, 38, 40 allow containers to stack securely whether collapsed or erect.

  • Patent number: 5772033
Abstract: The drawings show part of a nesting and stacking container. A support member 22 has a nesting position P1 which allows another container to nest in the container 10. The supporting member 22 can move to a chosen one of two stacking positions P2,P3 at which the member 22 can support the base of a container stacked above. Movement between the positions P1, P2 and P3 is achieved by a combination of pivotting the member 22 about an axis at 24, and moving the pivot axis relative to the container. Various other arrangements for mounting the support member 22 on the container are also described.
