Abstract: A sprinkler system primarily intended for use in a domestic dwelling to cover an exit route from the dwelling has an accumulator feeding the pipes leading to the sprinkler heads. The accumulator is charged with water under pressure by a pump drawing water from a water main or from a check tank itself fed with water from the water main. A sterilising unit may be provided to allow sterilisation of the water in the pipework.
