  • Publication number: 20180042005
Abstract: A method and apparatus for uplink transmission is disclosed. A WTRU transmits a first type message to a Node-B that indicates that the WTRU has uplink buffered data to transmit and the WTRU requires uplink resources for transmission of the uplink buffered data. The WTRU receives a first uplink data scheduling message in response to the transmitted first type message. Subsequent to receiving the first uplink data scheduling message, the WTRU transmits a second type message or a third type message. The second type message includes a plurality of indications. The third type message indicates an amount of uplink buffered data and has less information than the second type message. The WTRU receives, in response to the transmitted second type message or third type message, a second uplink data scheduling message and transmits uplink data over an uplink channel based on the received second uplink data scheduling message.

  • Patent number: 9867228
Abstract: In a wireless communication system including a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) and at least one Node-B, a method and apparatus is used to selectively enable reception of at least one downlink (DL) enhanced uplink (EU) signaling channel established between the WTRU and the Node-B(s). During the operation of an enhanced dedicated channel (E-DCH), the WTRU monitors at least one DL EU signaling channel established between the WTRU and the Node-B(s) only when it is necessary, based on the WTRU's knowledge of at least one established standard procedure. The WTRU coordinates and consolidates DL signaling channel reception requirements of a plurality of channel allocation and/or data transmission procedures carried out by the WTRU in accordance with the established standard procedure. The WTRU determines whether to enable reception of at least one specific DL signaling channel based on the consolidated DL signaling channel reception requirements.

  • Publication number: 20170353931
Abstract: A method and apparatus for uplink sounding reference signals (SRS) transmissions are disclosed. A WTRU-specific configuration of WTRU-specific SRS subframes for performing SRS transmissions is received. A trigger is received in a subframe from a base station to transmit a first SRS. A first subframe is selected after the subframe in which the trigger is received which is both a WTRU-specific subframe and at least four subframes after the subframe in which the trigger is received. A determination if a maximum power is exceeded in a symbol in the selected first subframe is made. On a condition that the maximum power is not exceeded in the symbol in the selected first subframe, the first SRS is transmitted in the selected first subframe.

  • Patent number: 9749968
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for sounding reference signals (SRS) configuration and transmission. The methods include receiving configuration of wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU)-specific SRS subframes for transmitting SRS and upon receipt of a trigger, transmitting the SRS for a number of antennas. The SRS transmissions may occur in each subframe of a duration of WTRU-specific SRS subframes that start a number of WTRU-specific SRS subframes after a triggering subframe. For multiple SRS transmissions from multiple antennas, cyclic shift multiplexing and different transmission combs may be used. The cyclic shift for an antenna may be determined from a cyclic shift reference value. The cyclic shift determined for each antenna providing a maximum distance between cyclic shifts for the antennas transmitting SRS in a same WTRU-specific subframe. SRS transmissions from multiple antennas in the WTRU-specific subframe may be done in parallel.

  • Patent number: 9723596
Abstract: A method and apparatus for enhanced uplink (EU) dedicated channel data transmission. On a condition that a scheduling message is not available, wherein the scheduling message is for scheduling scheduled data transmission, a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) transmits non-scheduled data up to a threshold amount of data in absence of the scheduling message. On a condition that scheduled data for a logical channel is in an EU data buffer of the WTRU, the WTRU transmits EU scheduling information with EU non-scheduled data transmission in absence of the scheduling message, wherein the scheduling information indicates a total amount of data in the EU data buffer and an amount of EU data buffered for a priority logical channel. The WTRU receives a scheduling message in response to the transmitted EU scheduling information and transmits the scheduled data in response to the scheduling message.
