    Abstract: A true moc shoe has a vamp with unitary bottom and side portions, and a sole coextensive with the vamp bottom. The vamp is stitched directly to the sole, and a cushioning element is interposed therebetween. The cushioning element has a shape substantially coextensive with the sole, and the peripheral edges of the element are spaced from the stitches. The sole may be formed of flexible rubber.
