Patent number: 9943958Abstract: A system for controlling the position of an articulated robotic arm in a robotic catheter procedure system, includes an articulated robotic arm, a first controller coupled to the articulated robotic arm and a patient table. The patient table includes a user interface and a second controller coupled to the user interface and the first controller. The second controller is programmed to generate a control signal in response to a user input received using the patient table user interface, the user input indicating a change in position of the patient table. The second controller is also programmed to transmit the control signal to the patient table and to transmit the control signal to the first controller.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 2015Date of Patent: April 17, 2018Assignee: CORINDUS, INC.Inventors: Steven J. Blacker, Stephen Guerrera, Robert Elden

Publication number: 20050126985Abstract: A connector apparatus is provided which is configured to replace a separation module in a system for dispensing a fluid. When it is desired to purge the system of a dispensed fluid, the connector apparatus, having the same configuration of an inlet and an outlet as the separation module, replaces the separation module and a purging fluid is passed through the system.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 28, 2005Publication date: June 16, 2005Applicant: Mykrolis CorporationInventors: Jeffrey Campbell, J. Niermeyer, Gaston Reyes, Christopher Wargo, Richard Miller, Stephen Guerrera

Patent number: 5856193Abstract: An automatic sample testing machine for testing samples stored in test cards. The machine has a test sample positioning system for moving a tray containing a plurality of test sample cards and fluid receptacles among various stations in the machine. The machine has a diluting station for adding a predetermined quantity of diluent to the receptacles as needed. A pipetting station transfers fluid from one receptacle to another. A vacuum station is provided having a vacuum chamber moveable relative to the tray between upper and lower positions. The chamber cooperates with the tray to make a sealing engagement with the top surface of the tray when it is lowered to the lower position. A vacuum generator supplies vacuum to the chamber. When the vacuum is released from the chamber, the fluid samples are loaded into the cards from the receptacles.Type: GrantFiled: April 23, 1997Date of Patent: January 5, 1999Assignee: bioMerieux Vitek, Inc.Inventors: Mark Joseph Fanning, Jean-Pierre Bernard Gayral, Clifford W. Karl, Bernard Jean Marie Limon, Donald Meyer, Roger James Morris, Ron Robinson, William Ernest Seaton, David B. Shine, Paul Springer, James Clement Bishop, Craig Drager, Thomas Burchard, David Chastain, Stephen Guerrera, Andrew Moore, David Porat, Arthur Rousmaniere, Andrew Zeigler
