  • Patent number: 6365698
Abstract: Grafted-polysilanes with a greater efficiency for the photoinitiation of vinyl type resins are provided. These grafted polysilanes which include both grafted cyclic polysilanes and grafted networked polysilanes have variable composition and length molecular chains grafted onto the silane backbone which aid in the solubility in vinyl type resins.

  • Patent number: 5750588
Abstract: A one-part type radiation curable silicone composition capable of curing at an ordinary temperature is provided. The silicone composition comprises an unsaturated group-containing polyorganosiloxane and a polysilane in which at least one at least two silicon atoms are bonded to each other and which has at least one polyorganosiloxane group in a side chain thereof.

  • Patent number: 5502144
Abstract: Compositions and a method for performing the room temperature vulcanization of silicone elastomers are disclosed. The compositions and method utilize specifically-defined hydroxy-terminated polyorganosiloxanes, cross-linking agents which contain a hydrolyzable moiety, a catalyst which exhibits catalytic action in the condensation reaction between the hydroxy groups of the polyorganosiloxanes and the hydrolyzable groups of the cross-linking agents, and a formamide-type cure accelerator component. It has been found that these compositions can be stably stored under substantially moisture-free conditions and be readily vulcanized to form solid elastomers when exposed to moisture in the air. The vulcanization process provides a fast cure and a final silicone rubber product which exhibits good depth of hardening and excellent physical properties.
