  • Patent number: 5724748
Abstract: A package for storing contaminant-sensitive articles in a contaminant-free environment featuring a pair of polymeric material circular half-sections having a bottom wall and a side wall.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 24, 1996
Date of Patent: March 10, 1998
Inventors: Ray G. Brooks, Timothy W. Brooks, Stephen L. Fowler
  • Patent number: 5064699
Abstract: A semi-rigid, heat-sealable laminate with permanent antistatic characteristics comprising a semi-rigid packaging material having a coating of heat-sealable antistatic plastic. The antistatic plastic is a film of a modified acid copolymer. The modified acid copolymer is selected from (I) a mixture of (A) a polymer containing carboxylic acid moieties and (B) an antistatically effective amount of a quaternary amine, or (II) the acid/base reaction product of (A) a polymer containing carboxylic acid moieties and (C) an antistatically effective amount of an organic or inorganic base.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 6, 1990
Date of Patent: November 12, 1991
    Assignee: W. R. Grace & Co.-Conn.
Inventors: Marvin R. Havens, Stephen L. Fowler, William P. Roberts, Cynthia L. Ebner
  • Patent number: 5033253
Abstract: Disclosed is a skin packaging film for skin packaging high profile and/or heavy articles. The film comprises linear ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer. In one embodiment, the film is antistatic and may be employed for skin packaging of electro-static sensitive items such as circuit boards.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 17, 1989
Date of Patent: July 23, 1991
    Assignee: W. R. Grace & Co.-Conn.

  • Patent number: 4608457
Abstract: This apparatus having means responsive to a dual multifrequency telephone output to provide an electrical signal to an automatic gain control so as to provide preconditioning to a signal for amplification so as to provide an amplified signal to a comparator with visual light source responsive thereto to indicate activity at the other end of the phone line and a tone decoder also receiving the amplified signal to a digital binary code corresponding to the dual tone multifrequency signal received.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 11, 1984
Date of Patent: August 26, 1986
Inventors: Stephen L. Fowler, Allison T. Brown
  • Patent number: 4283630
Abstract: Irradiated film having substantial uniformity in the radiation dosage profile is produced by irradiating the film within a trough having lateral deflection blocks disposed adjacent the film edges for deflecting electrons toward the surface of the trough bottom for further deflecting the electrons toward the film edge.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 29, 1979
Date of Patent: August 11, 1981
    Assignee: W. R. Grace & Co.
