In use, the secondary side panels lie between the strap handle, generally with a printed side facing up.

The apertures in the top panel have an arcuate extended opening projecting towards the handle panel to minimize damage to the labels of the necks of bottles extending through the apertures. The fold lines for gluing this blank into a car-on are parallel to each other.
