  • Publication number: 20220409692
Abstract: As new class of drugs designated systems chemico-pharmacology drugs (SCPD) is disclosed. SCPDs work by targeting a druggable biomolecular site (the first target), resulting in a significant change in the properties of the first target. In the process, the SCPD itself is chemically modified. Subsequently, the resulting modified SCPD interacts with a second target, which is also modified in a manner that is beneficial for the patient.

  • Publication number: 20110136241
Abstract: Molecular bioprofiles comprising biologically correlated and relevant analytes that impact the biological state of a human health condition compared to a control population are provided. These molecular bioprofiles are useful in several ways including but not limited to, monitoring a disease or condition's progression, evaluating the impact of an agent or compound on a disease or condition, evaluating the impact of a lifestyle change on a disease or condition and assessing the risk of the disease or condition to a subject. Type II diabetes molecular bioprofiles are of particular interest.

  • Publication number: 20100076787
Abstract: A method for preparing a medical report. Some example methods include receiving one or more medical data readings, where respective individual medical data readings include a numerical result of a medical test; processing the medical data readings into report data, where the report data includes the individual medical data readings and categorized ranges associated with the medical tests associated with individual medical data readings; and creating a medical data report including the report data, graphical representations of individual medical data readings and the respective categorized ranges, and textual descriptive information pertaining to the respective medical data readings.

  • Publication number: 20080014368
Abstract: The invention is directed to a method for refinishing vehicles using infrared technology for drying and curing the paint coating. The method comprises the steps: A) applying a layer of a pigmented coating composition over a vehicle body or vehicle body part, subsequently applying a layer of clear coating composition, or applying alternatively a layer of pigmented top coating composition over the vehicle body or vehicle body part and B) curing the coating layers applied in step A), directly after completion of the application step, without interposing a final evaporation phase, by exposing to infrared radiation using a short-wave infrared radiator, a radiator distance in the range of 20 to 60 cm being adjusted and the quotient of radiator power in Kilowatt and radiator distance in centimeter ranges from 0.07 to 0.15.

  • Publication number: 20050042772
Abstract: In various aspects, provided are methods and devices for the depletion of two or more proteins from a sample, such as, for example, blood serum, blood plasma, cerebrospinal fluid and/or urine samples. In various embodiments, the methods deplete three or more proteins from a sample by contacting the sample with at least one chromatographic medium, the at least one chromatographic medium being capable of removing albumin, IgG, and a third abundant protein from the sample. In various embodiments, the devices comprise a first chromatography column functionalized to substantially remove a first abundant protein from the sample; a second chromatography column in serial fluidic communication with the first chromatography column and functionalized to substantially remove a second abundant protein from the sample; and a first chromatography disk in serial fluidic communication with the second chromatography column and functionalized to substantially remove a third protein from the sample.

  • Publication number: 20020055184
Abstract: Systems for detecting analytes that include an immunoaffinity cartridge, a preconcentrator cartridge, and a mass spectrometer are described. The systems also can include a membrane cartridge. Methods for detecting the presence or absence of an analyte in a biological sample are described.

  • Patent number: 5800692
Abstract: A preseparation processor for use in capillary electrophoresis is described. The preseparation processor contains sample processing material, preferably in the form of a membrane, for use in concentrating or chemically processing a sample, or catalyzing a chemical reaction. It is particularly suited to the concentration of dilute samples or the purification of contaminated samples. The preseparation processor facilitates reliable and reproducible separation of analytes by eliminating inconsistencies caused by a reversal of the electroosmotic flow otherwise induced by the sample processing material.
