Publication number: 20240110466Abstract: A rotating ball valve may be employed in a liner hanger setting tool. A rotating ball member maintains contact with a valve seat throughout the operation of the rotating ball valve, thereby preventing debris from settling on the valve seat and compromising the integrity of a seal through a fluid flow path defined through the setting tool. The rotating ball valve may be actuated by selectively applying fluid pressure to the flow path, or by mechanical manipulation. Once the fluid flow path is closed, a latch may be activated to maintain the rotating ball valve in the closed configuration and a pressure may be applied against the closed rotating ball member. A downhole movement be induced by the applied pressure to drive an expansion cone through an expandable liner hanger, to secure a liner in the wellbore.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 29, 2022Publication date: April 4, 2024Inventors: Stephen Ross Maddux, Daniel Newton

Publication number: 20230325417Abstract: Content items are rearranged within a digital collaboration space (e.g., a digital whiteboard) based on category metadata determined for the content items using one or more learning models. The content items are added to the digital collaboration space by one or more users. For each of the content items, category metadata is determined using a learning model that processes information associated with the content item. A rearrangement of the content items is determined based on the category metadata determined for each of the content items. The content items, rearranged according to the rearrangement, are then output to a layer of the digital collaboration space. Other rearrangements of the content items can be determined based on non-category metadata associated with the content items, and the content items, rearranged according to those other rearrangements, can be output to other layers of the digital collaboration space.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 13, 2023Publication date: October 12, 2023Inventors: Raghavendra Bhagavatha, Alicia Kepner, Stephen Newton, Ihor Shadko, Jeffrey William Smith, Jordan Thiel

Patent number: 10128667Abstract: A method for voltage balancing of series connected capacitors, wherein a voltage in an intermediate circuit of an electric circuit can be easily and safely balanced between a plurality of series connected capacitors and thus these components are operated safely in terms of their voltage strength. This problem is solved in that the voltage balancing is accomplished in that, in a first step of the method, an at least partial discharging of a first or a second capacitor occurs across a first or second winding of a transformer, while thanks to the action of the transformer a current is induced in a second step of the method in the second or first winding which charges the second or first capacitor as a charging current.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 2016Date of Patent: November 13, 2018Assignee: HANON SYSTEMSInventors: Stephan Werker, Mario Lenz, Stephen Newton

Patent number: 9768769Abstract: Disclosed herein is a power electronic device assembly for preventing parasitic switching-on of a feeder circuit breaker. The assembly includes a logic circuit, a power switch with an input and a reference leg, and a driver circuit which drives the power switch. The driver circuit includes a drive unit and a short circuit having a safety function. When the input of the power switch is not operated, the power switch is short-circuited by the reference leg so that the potential of the input decreases below a switching-on threshold. An additional wire connection device is disposed between the driver circuit and the power switch and configured such that when no or excessively small amount of supply voltage is applied, the input of the power switch is short-circuited or is coupled to a safety potential at which discharge is secured, whereby discharge of parasitic charge current is secured.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 2016Date of Patent: September 19, 2017Assignee: HANON SYSTEMSInventors: Stephan Werker, Mario Lenz, Stephen Newton
