  • Publication number: 20200327576
Abstract: Examples described herein include systems, methods, instructions, and other implementations of transactional promotions. One embodiment includes receipt of an authorization request message for a transaction associated with an account number. The authorization request message includes a merchant category code and does not include promotion information. A determination is then made that the transaction is eligible for a promotion based on the merchant category code. The promotion is then automatically applied to the transaction at the account number, and an authorization response message is then generated authorizing the transaction.

  • Patent number: 7239047
Abstract: A switch (10) comprises a face plate (16) and a single switch sensing oscillator (18) responsive to a switch activating presence. The oscillator (18) has a resistive component (36) connected to a sensing plate (38) which acts as a first capacitor plate. The face plate (16) is arranged to prevent electrical contact between the user and the oscillator (18). Any object, when placed adjacent the face plate (16), acts as a second capacitor plate which alters the frequency of the oscillator (18). A microprocessor (20) senses the smoke detector (62). In a further aspect the switch includes a mains electricity cable signal transmitter/receiver and a microprocessor whereby each such switch may communicate directly with another such switch.

  • Patent number: 4330686
Abstract: This invention relates to a loudspeaker protection device which disconnects the drive unit, or units, of the loudspeaker from an amplifier when the voltage across, or the current through, the drive unit, or one of the drive units, exceeds a predetermined level. The protection device includes a bistable device comprising a complementary pair of transistors arranged to be changed from the reset state to the set state when the voltage on an input terminal exceeds a predetermined level. The transistors are arranged to be both non-conductive when the device is in the reset state and both conductive when the device is in the set state. When the transistors are conductive, the collector current of one of them flows through the coil of an electromagnetic relay having normally closed contacts in the output circuit of the amplifier.
