  • Patent number: 11958888
Abstract: Nucleotide sequences including a micro-dystrophin gene are provided. The micro-dystrophin genes may be operatively linked to a regulatory cassette. Methods of treating a subject having, or at risk of developing, muscular dystrophy, sarcopenia, heart disease, or cachexia are also provided. The methods may include administering a pharmaceutical composition including the micro-dystrophin gene and a delivery vehicle to a subject. Further, the methods may include administering the pharmaceutical composition a subject having Duchenne muscular dystrophy or Becker muscular dystrophy.

  • Patent number: 5981961
Abstract: An ion implanter for implanting ions into a substrate comprises an ion beam generator for generating a beam of ions, support means for carrying a substrate to be implanted with beam ions, scanning means for scanning at least one of the substrate and the ion beam relative to the other so that the beam traverses the substrate along a predetermined path. Monitoring means are arranged to monitor changes in the proportion of the ion beam cross-sectional area incident on the substrate as the ion beam traverses the edge of the substrate from a position in the scan at which the proportion is finite to a position at which the proportion is zero.

  • Patent number: 4687412
Abstract: An impeller shroud is mounted in a cantilever manner to a stator assembly in a compressor for a gas turbine engine, wherein the impeller has a radial component, the impeller shroud being adapted for deflection around its outer portion in correspondence with deflection which may occur in the outer portion of the impeller. The stator assembly includes a shroud surrounding the compressor gas path and is directly fixed to the casing of the engine and has a common datum with the rotor portion of the compressor through a thrust bearing.
