  • Publication number: 20240132810
Abstract: A solvent composition has an oxygenated solvent and a siloxane solvent. In one embodiment, the oxygenated solvent is propylene glycol methyl ether and the siloxane solvent is hexamethyldisiloxane or octamethyltrisiloxane. In another embodiment, the solvent composition is an azeotrope of propylene glycol n-butyl ether and decamethyltetrasiloxane. The siloxane solvent can be used in any situation where one desires to remove a silicone deposit, e.g., conformal coatings, adhesives, sealants, greases, heat transfer fluids, paints, oils, etc.

  • Publication number: 20230026685
Abstract: A fuel stabilizer formulation includes a hybrid component that acts as an antioxidant, a chelating agent, and lubricant when added to the fuel, one or more vapor suppressants, and a water scavenger. Furthermore, the formulation may include components that bond with gasoline compounds to prevent evaporation of low-end components, form a layer along with the engine metal that prevents condensed water from corroding the metal, prevent corroded metal ions from destabilizing gasoline compounds into resin, and scavenge water to prevent water deposits at the bottom of the tank which limits biological activity, resulting in an overall improvement in oxidation stability over conventional fuel stabilizers.

  • Patent number: 11365334
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention include de-icing compositions, along with the manufacture of and use of the de-icing compositions. The de-icing compositions achieve a higher melting capacity and melt ice for longer times than conventional de-icing solutions. The de-icing compositions include suspensions of salt instead of solutions. These de-icing suspensions can be applied to ice using liquid application systems. Embodiments include a de-icing composition. The de-icing composition is a suspension. The de-icing composition includes a solvent, which includes water. The de-icing composition may also include a salt component in a total concentration greater than the solubility of the salt component in water at a temperature in a range from 0° F. to 40° F. A portion of the salt component may not be dissolved in the solvent. The undissolved portion of the salt component may include particles with an effective diameter less than 500 ?m. The de-icing composition may further include a suspending agent.

  • Patent number: 10982129
Abstract: A converter-dissolver composition in an aqueous solution of carbonate or bicarbonate, chelating agents, hydroxide base, and surfactant wetting agent. A mixture of the chelating agents and carbonate or bicarbonate is diluted with deionized water. The mixture reacts for five minutes. The hydroxide base is added to the mixture to form an in-situ reaction with the carbonate or bicarbonate and reacted for another five minutes. The solution pH is adjusted with the chelating agent. The surfactant wetting agent is added. The aqueous solution is heated to 70-230° C. and applied to a surface of oil or gas well and pipeline equipment with metal sulfate scales in a ratio of 3.78 liters of the aqueous solution per 0.45 kilograms of the metal sulfate scales. The aqueous solution reacts for 0.25-1.5 hours to dissolve the metal sulfate scales. The aqueous solution and dissolved metal sulfate scales are flushed from the surface.
