  • Patent number: 10057509
Abstract: Systems and methods according to one or more embodiments are provided for an imaging system having a plurality of sensors associated with input optics. In one example, an imaging system includes input optics configured to receive incident radiation along an input optical axis and a first optical sensor and a second optical sensor, each configured to detect the incident radiation. The imaging system further includes a rotating member positioned between the first and second optical sensors and configured to rotate about the input optical axis and a reflector coupled to the rotating member configured to be selectively positionable by the rotating member to a first orientation, in which the reflector directs the incident radiation along a first secondary axis to the first optical sensor, and to a second orientation, in which the reflector directs the incident radiation along a second secondary axis toward the second optical sensor.

  • Publication number: 20150350569
Abstract: An imaging system may include input optics and a plurality of optical sensors. A positionable reflector may be disposed between the input optics and the optical sensors, and may be positionable to redirect incident radiation from an input optical axis toward any one of the optical sensors. The reflector may comprise a rotatable prism.

  • Publication number: 20090278929
Abstract: A video camera 100 for remote operation or surveillance has a lens system 1 supported on a fixed base plate 26 and a pair of image sensors 14, 15, 204 mounted onto a movable plate 13. A pair of balls slides 11, 12 are attached to the fixed base plate 26 and the movable plate 13 to provide linear movement of the movable plate along a linear motion axis 50. An actuator 5 is disposed between the fixed base plate 26 and the movable plate 13 to move the movable plate 13 and each of the image sensors 14, 15, 204 along the linear motion axis 50 to dispose either the first image sensor 14 or the second image sensor 15 in and imagining position where the lens system 1 forms a scene image onto its active surface. In a preferred embodiment, the first image sensor 14 is an Electron Multiplication CCD array suitable for night time imaging and the second sensor 15 is a color CCD array suitable for day light imaging.

  • Patent number: 5301129
Abstract: Method and apparatus for inspecting the surface of a moving web of homogeneous material for anomalies, the apparatus including a light source for illuminating the web surface and a light sensitive detector for receiving data from the web surface. The data is representative of the light reflected from the surface, as the light is affected by surface anomalies and background information. Computational means are provided for receiving output data from the detector in response to the data the detector receives from the web surface, and for processing the output data in a manner that determines the presence of surface anomalies. The computation means includes a plurality of filters for transforming the surface data in a manner that effects substantial elimination of the background information, and means for establishing threshold levels for background information.
