Abstract: A medical device for treating the hemorrhoid, or reducing the dilatation of cellular tissues comprising ligating a hemorrhoid tissue and heating the hemorrhoid tissue. In one embodiment, an elongate tubular shaft comprises at least one coil loop electrode arrangement disposed at the distal end portion of the shaft, a RF energy generating source, and a method for deploying a dilated ligature element to effect the pressure therapy for the hemorrhoid tissues.

Abstract: A medical device for treating intravascular restenosis of a patient, the medical device comprising a catheter shaft and an inner catheter, the inner catheter having a deployable wire assembly arrangement, wherein the deployable wire assembly arrangement comprises a plurality of preshaped expandable metallic basket members at the distal end of the inner catheter adapted to contact a pre-implanted stent and to apply RF current to the tissues for therapeutic purposes through a wire guide shaft. Alternately, a plurality of expandable metallic basket members are secured to the distal section of the catheter shaft for contacting a pre-implanted stent of the patient through a wire guide shaft.

Abstract: A medical ablation device system for treating endometrosis, gingivae, valvular annulus, or reducing the mass of cellular tissues, wherein an elongate tubular element comprises an electrode disposed at its distal section that is extendible from an opening at one side of the tubular element, the energy generator, and means for generating rotational sweeping force at the distal section of the tubular element to effect the heat treatment and the rotational sweeping massage therapy for target tissues.
