  • Publication number: 20170349339
Abstract: A closure for a container is provided with a top portion and a skirt depending from an outer periphery of the top portion. A generally circular rim extends downwards from the lower surface of the top portion. A liner is attached to the closure between an outer surface of the rim and an inner surface of the skirt. The liner is configured to provide a fluid tight seal for containers having varied neck dimensions and/or profiles. One or more projections extend into a space formed between the lower surface of the top portion, an inner surface of the skirt, and an outer surface of the rim, with the liner enveloping and being supported in the closure by the one or more projections.

  • Publication number: 20160332783
Abstract: A light weight, reinforced, molded, plastic closure is provided. The closure includes an end wall and a sidewall. A portion of the end has been substantially thinned such that the portion of the end wall is substantially thinner than other portions of the closure such as the sidewall or outer peripheral end wall area. The closure may also include interrupted threads that also contributes to the low weight of the closure.

  • Patent number: 9426544
Abstract: A system is disclosed for detecting the presence of dielectric fluids and water in a utility enclosure. The system includes a sensor assembly that may be installed in the utility enclosure. The sensor assembly has an array of capacitance sensors extending into the utility enclosure to an area where the fluids are expected to be present. The sensor assembly also has a pressure sensor that can detect the total pressure of the fluids in the enclosure. The reading from both sensors can be feed to a processor and a transmitter that sends the readings wirelessly to a receiver assembly. The receiver assembly includes a wireless receiver, a second processor connected to the wireless receiver and a display. The processor may process the readings from the sensors to calculate and report the levels of fluids in the enclosure.
