  • Patent number: 8954501
Abstract: Described are methods and devices for identifying a group that include various methods to determine a group. Also described are devices and methods for attempting communication with a missing member of the group include different manners in which to determine information related to an entry of a group. The described devices and methods may be particularly beneficial at the particular time the certain group members plan to be or are in communication with one another. In this way, in the event that two or more entries of a group planned to be in communication or are in communication in-real time, in accordance with the disclosed devices and methods, the parties may be able to bring one or more other entries of the group into the communication as needed or desired.

  • Patent number: 8683453
Abstract: In a method of executing a program on an interpreted bytecode language, a plurality of interpreted bytecode modules (each having an associated name) is loaded. A pointer is directed from each method entry to a different interpreted bytecode module. A native code module library is loaded and includes a native code module (also having an associated name) that implements a function corresponding to an interpreted bytecode module. When the name of an interpreted bytecode module corresponds to the name of a native code module, the pointer directed to the interpreted bytecode module is redirected to the corresponding native code module. Each interpreted bytecode module and native code module pointed to by the each method entry in the method table is executed according to an application-controlled order of execution.

  • Publication number: 20110035807
Abstract: Disclosed are devices and methods of communication devices that are configured to be a part of clustered displays. A communication device may be a mobile communication device. Such a device may include a cluster module configured to determine that the device is a license owning unit, a content module configured to receive data including content via a transceiver when it is determined that the device is a license owning unit and a distribution module configured to transmit output data via a transceiver, the output data being at least one portion of the data. The license owning unit is determined based on the reception characteristics of the devices of the cluster. The distribution by the license owning unit to other devices in the cluster is at the lowest resolution of any of the devices of the cluster.

  • Publication number: 20100146601
Abstract: A system and method for accessing digital content purchased by a rights owner for a first computing device. The method receives a proxy from the rights owner that includes rights to the digital content granted to the rights owner, stores the proxy on a second computing device, and determines whether the rights owner is present at the second computing device. When the rights owner is present at the second computing device, the method enables the proxy, and accesses the digital content on the second computing device through the proxy.

  • Publication number: 20040224703
Abstract: A method and system for enhancing venue participation provides venue information to participants. The system includes a network element (14) and a plurality of wireless devices (10). The wireless device (10) includes a controller (30) operative to receive venue participant-based optimization data (42) and venue-specific map data (44). The venue participant-based optimization data (42) is associated with at least the venue-specific map data (44), and the venue-specific map data (44) is associated with at least wireless device location data (46). The controller (30) is operative to display the venue participant-based optimization data (42) and the venue-specific map data (44) data on a display (34).

  • Publication number: 20040044774
Abstract: A system (10) includes a first communication device (40), a second communication device (45), and a content management server (15). The first communication device (40) includes a first content memory (365) for storing a first plurality of active content (360) including at least one active content (370) stored using a content version (375). The first communication device (40) further includes a first resource memory (385) for storing a first plurality of resources (380). The second communication device (45) includes a second resource memory (415) for storing a second plurality of resources (410). The content management server (15) is adapted to send a second content version (412) of the active content (370) to the second communication device (45) in response to receiving a content sharing request (390). The second content version (412) is compatible with the second plurality of resources (410).
