Abstract: A control apparatus for a conveying system includes: a control module configured to control a power converter coupled to a motor, and a modification module. The modification module is configured to: estimate a size parameter of an item conveyed by the motor, determine if a hold command is received; and if a hold command is received, modify one or more parameters of the control module based on the estimated size parameter of the item to thereby hold a rotor of the motor at a rotor hold position.

Abstract: A clamp assembly is provided with a band having a length sized to wrap about a joint. A plurality of retainer segments is attached to the band to engage a peripheral flange of a pair of tube ends at the joint. A first threaded fastener is connected to the band at a first location. A second threaded fastener is sized to engage the band at a second location to extend to the first threaded fastener to fasten to the first threaded fastener upon rotation of the second threaded fastener to tighten the band and the plurality of retainer segments to clamp the joint.

Displaying said correlation on a map representing a plurality of devices, wherein said correlation can be used to isolate one or more devices impacting said performance data.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are an exemplary apparatus, system, and methods (e.g., Tactical Passive RFID transponder gloves with Morphological Actuation) comprising a glove made predominately of a resistive fabric that varies resistance per degree of deformation; comprising near field communication RFID tag readers, and a controller coupled to the glove to evaluate the varied resistance. A method of classifying RFID tags is also disclosed.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems for aspirating, irrigating, and/or mechanically disrupting body cavities, such as abdominal abscesses, empyemas, and/or (e.g., complicated) pleural effusions, and associated devices and methods. In some embodiments, an aspiration and irrigation system includes an inner catheter defining an aspiration lumen and an outer tube positioned coaxially around the inner catheter and defining an irrigation lumen. A distal portion of the outer tube can be bonded to the inner catheter, and a plurality of apertures can be formed through the outer tube proximal of the bond. The aspiration lumen can be fluidly coupled to an aspiration circuit configured to aspirate through the aspiration lumen, and the irrigation lumen can be fluidly coupled to an irrigation circuit configured to flow an irrigation fluid through the irrigation lumen and out of the apertures.

The disclosure provides modified orthopoxvirus vectors that exhibit various beneficial therapeutic activities, including enhanced oncolytic activity, spread of infection, immune evasion, tumor persistence, capacity for incorporation of exogenous DNA sequences and safety. The viruses we have discovered are also amenable to large scale manufacturing protocols.

Abstract: Systems and methods for producing methanol are provided. A reformer feed gas including methane and carbon dioxide is provided to a methane reformer, which produces a synthesis gas. The synthesis gas includes a first portion of hydrogen, a second portion of carbon monoxide, and a third portion of carbon dioxide. The methane is present in the reformer feed gas in an amount of between 20 volume percent (vol %) and 90 vol % and the carbon dioxide is present in the reformer feed gas in an amount of between 10 vol % and 80 vol %. The synthesis gas is subjected to a methanol synthesis reactor. The methanol synthesis reactor is utilized to produce a methanol product and a purge gas stream from the synthesis gas.
