Abstract: A hanger supports the weight of merchandise on a merchandise support arm. The hanger proceeds through an opening in a sleeve into a cavity where the merchandise is supported by a merchandise support arm. The hanger arm includes a fixture attachment, such as a hook for cooperation with a display fixture. The sleeve assists in retaining the merchandise on the hanger when inserted properly. Furthermore, a sleeve has at least one display panel which may be utilized to provide information relating to the product. It is further anticipated that some embodiments of hangers may include retention means to assist in retaining the hanger relative to the sleeve and/or merchandise support arm on the support arm.

Abstract: A hanger having a product or package supporting member and a carrier or suspension member for suspending the hanger from a peg or the like, the carrier or suspension member having a decorative portion including a structure forming a letter of an alphabet. The letter of the alphabet is a Roman-style letter. A hanger of this type may thus be used by a retailer or a manufacturer of product, such as socks and hosiery to emphasize the association of the goods or the package with the retailer when the product is merchandised.

Abstract: Two hangable display packages, one being a plastic bag container and the other a cardboard box container, have a separate rigid plastic hanger for hanging on a rod or the like of a display rack. The plastic bag is of a different material than the plastic hanger which is disposed within a pocket formed at the top of the bag with the hook portion of the hanger extending through a hole in the top peripheral edge of the bag, and the bag has layers thereof bonded together slightly below the lower edges of arms of the hanger to entrap the hanger within the bag. A method of forming the hangable package by properly positioning the hanger within the bag and bonding the layers of the bag together while the top edge of the hanger arms are properly positioned against the top peripheral edge of the bag is disclosed.
