  • Publication number: 20090265263
Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for trading securities. Trading software 102 receives recent market data history from a market data stream via a broker having direct access to a securities market. A trading strategy determination module is comprised of a plurality of strategies which concurrently analyze the recent market data history. Each strategy independently determines potentially profitable security positions and communicates them to an order management module which places corresponding orders via the order placement interface with the broker. An exit all time allows a user to specify a time of day, typically the daily market close, when all open positions should be exited and the plurality of strategies shut down, which is specifically intended to facilitate day trading, in which no positions are held during market closure periods.

  • Publication number: 20080040181
Abstract: A method of and a device for supporting a collaborative workflow process that includes a plurality of workflows are provided. A first modified workflow process is received from a first device at a second device. The first modified workflow process is created by modifying an evolutionary workflow process. The first modified workflow process is compared with the evolutionary workflow process to identify a first identifier associated with an action included in the first modified workflow process and not included in the evolutionary workflow process. If the identified first identifier is included in the evolutionary workflow process is determined. If the identified first identifier is included in the evolutionary workflow process, a second identifier is defined. The defined second identifier is associated with the action. The second action is added with the associated second identifier to the evolutionary workflow process stored in a first memory accessible using the second device.

  • Publication number: 20080027782
Abstract: A method of and a system for presenting a plurality of workflows that describe an evolutionary workflow process associated with creating a result are provided. A first workflow is received at a first device. The first workflow comprises a first module which applies a first instruction to form a first result. A modification of the first workflow is received at the first device. The received modification includes a second workflow which includes a second module that applies a second instruction to form a second result. The evolutionary workflow process is presented to a user at a second device. The evolutionary workflow process includes the first workflow and the second workflow and indicates a parent-child relationship between the first workflow and the second workflow.

  • Patent number: 6739278
Abstract: A folding rigid boat for routine and emergency use by occupants as an auxiliary watercraft and including complementary rigid bow and rigid stern sections joined together along respective mating edges to form a hull, complementary rigid hinge elements cooperating together to form a centrally-disposed joint pivotally connecting the bow and stern sections along a port-to-starboard axis in vertically spaced-apart relation to the bottom of the hull for permitting the bow and stern sections to be folded onto themselves into a storage configuration and away from each other along the joint into an unfolded use configuration. Flexible topsides are secured to the hull along at least port and starboard sides of the hull for providing an upwardly-extending freeboard to the hull when the boat is in the unfolded use configuration. The topsides are unconnected to and independent of the rigid hinge elements.

  • Patent number: 6684808
Abstract: A device for providing stability and directional control to a boat. The device includes a flexible water container for being deployed from one quadrant of the boat and including opposing sides, a top and a bottom, a relatively large forwardly-directed mouth opening for capturing a predetermined large quantity of water at a predetermined rate, a relatively small aft-directed drain in the opposite end of the container for discharging aft a quantity of water at a rate substantially lower than the rate at which water is captured by the mouth, and forward attachment lines carried by the container proximate a bottom side of the mouth for securing the device in close proximity to the boat by attachment to at least one forward attachment point carried by the boat amidship with the mouth in an open condition for capturing water therein, and additional attachment lines carried by the container proximate a top side of the mouth for securing the container to the boat.

  • Patent number: 6367404
Abstract: A folding rigid-inflatable boat for routine and emergency use by occupants as an auxiliary watercraft. The floating rigid-inflatable boat includes a hull having complementary rigid bow and rigid stern sections joined together along common, centrally disposed joint edges, a hinge element extending laterally from port to starboard along the centrally disposed joint edges and pivotally connecting the bow and stern sections together for permitting the bow and stern sections to be folded onto themselves into a storage configuration and into an unfolded use configuration; and inflatable topsides secured to the hull and extending around the periphery of the hull for providing an upwardly extending freeboard and for further providing rigidity to the hull when the boat is in the unfolded use configuration.

  • Patent number: 5367977
Abstract: A boat canopy is rapidly attached and detached to a windshield with a continuous flexible member having a flat plate joined to the inside surface of the periphery of the canopy, with a lateral riser and first and second locking segments extending from the riser. The locking segments are pushed into a continuous, upwardly and outwardly facing slot arrangement of a corresponding gripping member fixed to the upper extremity of the boat windshield. The sides of the canopy are rapidly attached and detached to a side frame of the windshield through the use of detent pins extending through lateral holes in the side frame extrusion and the ends of the canopy struts.
