  • Patent number: 11975539
Abstract: A marking system includes a valve body including an orifice plate including multiple orifices and multiple micro-valves. Each micro-valve includes an actuating beam movable from a closed position in which a corresponding one of the orifices is sealed by a portion of the actuating beam such that the micro-valve is closed, into a peak position in response to application of a control signal. A controller is configured to generate a control signal for each of the actuating beams, each control signal including a drive pulse having a predetermined voltage such that the actuating beam moves from the closed position into the peak position in which the corresponding orifice is open and returns to the closed position in a characteristic period, wherein the drive pulse has a duration that substantially corresponds to the characteristic period such that the actuating beam is in the closed position after the drive pulse is complete.

  • Patent number: 11963768
Abstract: A continuous glucose monitoring system may utilize externally sourced information regarding the physiological state and ambient environment of its user for externally calibrating sensor glucose measurements. Externally sourced factory calibration information may be utilized, where the information is generated by comparing metrics obtained from the data used to generate the sensor's glucose sensing algorithm to similar data obtained from each batch of sensors to be used with the algorithm in the future. The output sensor glucose value of a glucose sensor may also be estimated by analytically optimizing input sensor signals to accurately correct for changes in sensitivity, run-in time, glucose current dips, and other variable sensor wear effects.

  • Patent number: 11938733
Abstract: A micro-valve includes an orifice plate having a first surface, a second surface and an orifice extending from the first surface to the second surface. An actuating beam is disposed in spaced relation to the orifice plate. The actuating beam includes a base portion and a cantilevered portion. The base portion is separated from the orifice plate by a predetermined distance. The cantilevered portion extends from the base portion such that an overlapping portion thereof overlaps the orifice. The actuating beam is movable between a closed position and an open position. The micro-valve also includes a sealing structure including a sealing member disposed at the overlapping portion of the cantilevered portion. When the actuating beam is in the closed position, the cantilevered portion is positioned such that the sealing structure seals the orifice so as to close the micro-valve.

  • Publication number: 20080310134
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for distributing multiple signals having audio and/or video components for processing by an audio and/or video processor, including a chassis having a midplane connection and number of slots for receiving plural circuit boards, where at least one of the circuit boards receives a combination of multiple audio and/or video signals via a common slot of the midplane. The midplane is configured to electrically connect to one or more of the plural circuit boards and distribute portions of the multiple signals to plural circuit boards. The midplane has electrical signal interconnects within it for electrically connecting a first one of the plural circuit boards, when inserted into a first one of the slots, to multiple other circuit boards, inserted in other slots. A video signal received from an external device via the first circuit board is supplied to at least one of the circuit boards for video signal processing.

  • Patent number: 6744276
Abstract: A bidirectional serial port for digital audio data includes a cable connector for coupling the port to a cable, a cable driver having a serial digital audio signal as an input and also having an output, a receiver having an input and an output, and an impedance and level matching network coupled to the output of the cable driver, the input of the receiver, and the cable connector. The port can be selectively configured either as an input port by causing the impedance and level matching network to act as a cable termination or as an output port by allowing the serial digital audio signal to pass through the cable driver and the impedance and level matching network to the cable connector.

  • Publication number: 20030047479
Abstract: The nature of the invention described herein is a training dish that will aid in maintaining food on a utensil and stop food from sliding off of the dish. The training dish comprises a feature that allows the dish to be stacked one on top of the other for the purposes of micro waving two or more entrees at one time, transporting the training dish with and/or without containing food, and for storage. Said feature also provides a mechanical disadvantage toward the tendency to tip when a utensil applies a force against the upper training wall.
