Patent number: 11968925Abstract: A method for producing seed corn from the corn plants, for use in growing subsequent corn plants, includes measuring a moisture content of corn kernels on ears of the corn plants in the field and removing, by a combine harvester, the ears of corn from the corn plants when the moisture content satisfies a threshold moisture content. The method then includes separating the corn kernels from cobs of the ears of corn onboard the combine harvester and collecting the separated corn kernels for use as seed corn, whereby one or more subsequent corn plants can be grown from the collected corn kernels.Type: GrantFiled: December 2, 2020Date of Patent: April 30, 2024Assignee: Monsanto Technology LLCInventors: Jarrett Ryan Ceglinski, Jack Glenn Fombelle, David Everett Johnson, Jason W. Patent number: 11934641Abstract: User interface customization based on user navigational signals is described herein. A computer system causes a device to present first information associated with a first item in a first network page. The computer system receives first data indicating a first interaction with the first information and determines whether the first interaction corresponds to a first request for information about a set of items associated with the first item or to a second request for a removal of the presentation of the first information. If the first interaction corresponds to the first request, the computer system causes the device to present a second network page that shows second information associated with a second item of the set of items. If the first interaction corresponds to the second request, the computer system causes the device to remove the first information from being presented in the first network page.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 2022Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Dennis Ryan Stainken, Alexander Slutsker, Raman Bhatia, Sylvia Yang, Puneet Sharma, Peter Everett Zupke, Ksenia Zhizhimontova, Aparna Raman, Anton Pieter van der Stroom, Steven Ivie, Michaela Lea Rodwick

Publication number: 20230306502Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method and related system for generating a presentation of a plurality of sequential historical events stored in a service provider system. The method accesses a first historical event from a plurality of historical events associated with a user and stored in a memory of the service provider system. The method further includes locating a first presentation element template associated with the first historical event from a plurality of presentation element templates stored in the memory. The first presentation element template is copied into a first presentation element of a presentation, and data from the first historical event is copied into the first presentation element of the presentation. The method further comprises determining the first historical event as being a negative historical event according to a predefined criteria. The method further comprises transmitting the presentation to a user display device.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 6, 2018Publication date: September 28, 2023Inventors: Gene C. Patent number: 7593907Abstract: A hereditary model illustrates a method devised to extrapolate a series of locations of probable progeny earthquake events based on previous “seed” earthquakes. Shadow Zone border P-rings are claimed as precursors to possible future earthquake event locations. The intersection of these P-rings with tectonic plate edges or major fault lines indicates future seismic event targets. The earth physics that underlie the behavior of this forecast method involves the interaction of the refracted P-waves with internal earth processes.Type: GrantFiled: February 20, 2007Date of Patent: September 22, 2009Inventor: Steven Everett Ahrens

Patent number: 7026557Abstract: This invention relates to an improved apparatus for measuring the weight of an object being carried by a fork lift truck. Accurate weight is obtained by combining the measurements of the tension load(s) exerted by the chain(s) used to lift and support the fork carrying carriage with a measurement of the vertical forces imposed on the carriage by the mast through the carriage guides that are used to contain carriage movement within the mast and support the moment created by the object being weighed. The weight thusly determined can be easily calibrated for both pitch and roll mast angles. The apparatus can be integrated into the mast system of the fork truck without significantly affecting the fork truck's load carrying capacity. Specifically, the scale apparatus does not increase the overturning moment created by the weight of the object as compared with that of the standard non-instrumented carriage.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 2003Date of Patent: April 11, 2006Assignee: Mettler-ToledoInventors: Thomas S Rice, Steven Everett Hamilton

Patent number: 6690804Abstract: A lighting apparatus for use with a microphone and a sound mixing system wherein each microphone has an associated channel located in the sound mixing system. Each microphone has a lighting means that assigns a particular color to that particular microphone and each channel has the same color associated with it as the color identifying the microphone. The color coding of the microphone and the channel allow for both to be visually identified. The apparatus has an audio connector for connecting the lighting apparatus to the microphone; a light source connected to the audio connector; a holder means for holding the light source; a power conductor for providing a pathway for power to the apparatus; and a strain relief connector for preventing the power conductor from being strained when the microphone is in use. The apparatus allows the microphone to be identified visually by the color it emits.Type: GrantFiled: June 12, 2001Date of Patent: February 10, 2004Assignee: Peavey Electronics CorporationInventor: Samuel Steven Everett
