  • Patent number: 10161276
Abstract: A method and system for non-uniform catalyst heating for reducing exhaust gas emissions when the catalyst is below a predetermined light off temperature is provided. The method includes providing a catalyst formed of a plurality of electrically conductive subsections and at least one catalyst heating device that is operable to heat at least one of the plurality of electrically conductive subsections of the catalyst to form at least one predetermined non-uniform heating pattern. A heater control module is provided for controlling the operation of the at least one catalyst heating device. If the engine is in a cold start condition, then the heater control module causes the at least one catalyst heating device to heat at least one of the electrically conductive subsections of the catalyst to obtain a first predetermined non-uniform heating pattern.

  • Publication number: 20150196176
Abstract: Folded sheet product cartridges and dispensing assemblies, systems, and methods of dispense therefor are provided. A dispensing assembly includes a housing for vertically stacked cartridges. The housing defines a load opening in a side panel or top end and a dispensing slot in a side panel or bottom end. A sheet product cartridge includes a plurality of folded sheet products for dispense through a dispensing opening and a plurality of flexible material panels containing the sheet products. One of the material panels includes a detachable area that is detachable to form the dispensing opening.

  • Publication number: 20060104378
Abstract: According to an embodiment of the invention, a method and system is disclosed for determining log-likelihood ratios for a coded set of individual bits (40) of a quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) codeword. In the method at most two constant values (33,35) may be determined to perform a set of predetermined functions, the output of each of function is based on the constant values and at least one received component corresponding to the codeword, to determine log-likelihood ratios (37) for each individual bit of the set of individual bits of the codeword. The QAM codeword may correspond to at least a portion of a signal of a wireless device, such as a mobile third-generation device operating according to a Wideband Code-Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) standard.
