The resin of the invention has a softening point of about 0.degree.-40.degree. C., a number average molecular weight of from 100 to about 900, a low Gardner color of about 3 or less, and is formed by the aluminum chloride catalyzed polymerization of a feed stream essentially free of butadiene.
