  • Patent number: 7847552
Abstract: A system and method for simultaneously acquiring PET and MR data from a subject of interest with a hybrid PET-MR scanner includes monitoring transmission times of RF and gradient coils of the MR equipment and blanking segments of the PET data stream accordingly. By excluding PET data acquired during active MR transmissions, the remaining PET data used for image reconstruction will provide improved PET image quality.

  • Patent number: 7436933
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a collimator mandrel having variable attenuation characteristics is presented. The manufacturing process includes the placement of a layer of attenuating material on a core of base material. The layer of attenuating material is relatively thin and varies in thickness circumferentially around the core. The collimator mandrel may be manufactured by placing a cast about a core of non-attenuating material, filling a void between the cast and the core with an attenuating material, allowing the material to cure, and removing the cast from the assembly.

  • Patent number: 4134279
Abstract: In a steering column locking device a further protective mechanism for said locking device composed of an enclosure composed of two substantially semi-circular side walls, structurally hinged by concealed hinges at each of one extreme, a pair of open chambers forming a part of the other extremities of the side walls, the chambers being slidable one within the other. A cylindrical lock mechanism is carried by one open chamber and is keyed to operate a slug depending from the lock so that the slug engages an aperture in the other chamber thereby locking the two semi-circular walls about the steering column locking device.
