  • Patent number: 5948146
Abstract: A fiber bed for a fiber bed mist eliminator for removing aerosols and colloidal solids from a gaseous stream is provided having at least one non-woven sheet of hydroentangled ethylene/chlorotrifluoroethylene copolymer fibers.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 8, 1997
Date of Patent: September 7, 1999
    Assignee: Ceco Filters, Inc.

  • Patent number: 5730786
Abstract: A fiber bed mist eliminator system is disclosed that includes a collector vessel having at least one inlet and at least two outlets. The system further includes at least two filter housings removably secured to the collector vessel, in which each filter housing has an inlet and outlet. Each filter housing includes a fiber bed mist eliminator. A valve may optionally be provided between at least one filter housing and the collector vessel. Each fiber bed includes an inner surface defining a first closed space and an outer surface defining a second space. The first closed space is optionally in communication with the collector vessel outlet or the filter housing outlet.

  • Patent number: 4948398
Abstract: A fiber bed mist eliminator comprising at least two radially spaced and concentrically disposed fiber bed elements. The elements have an opened upper and lower end forming substantially vertical, independent channels through which gases can flow. The mist eliminator further comprises baffle means of imperious material, horizontally disposed at the upper and lower ends of the mist eliminator. The baffle means closes the bottom of one channel and the top of an adjacent channel, thus forcing a gas stream to pass through not more than one fiber bed element.

  • Patent number: 4838903
Abstract: The invention being a multi-phase thick bed filter assembly having a main filter element the primary function of which is to remove aerosols from a moving gas stream and having an associated, readily removable upstream pre-filter element designed to remove solid particulate matter from the gas stream before its impingement on the main filter.

  • Patent number: 4029746
Abstract: Apparatus assembly including continuous particle forming means, such as pelletizer, mounted on mobile platform, adapted to deposit compression formed particles as they are formed substantially throughout a large curing area to permit at least partial hardening of the particles prior to further handling. Preferably, rail mounted longitudinal and transverse supports permit movement of the pellitizer both transversely and longitudinally through predetermined paths. Most preferably, pelletizer is also mounted with elevation means to permit raising and lowering and thereby to control the drop of freshly formed particles and to permit their disposition with minimum drop as inventory of formed particles accumulates.
