  • Patent number: 11990066
Abstract: A heads-up display system for a vehicle includes a display area on a surface of the vehicle and an optical projection unit for projecting graphic elements to the display area. An electronic control unit is operatively connected for computer communication to the optical projection unit. The electronic control unit determines a perspective view of a real road scene from a user while the user views the real road scene through the display area based on a ride height of the vehicle and an eyepoint of the user. The electronic control unit identifies road features that are visible to the user in the perspective view of the real road scene and adjusts a virtual image having inclined content based on the road features so that the inclined content substantially matches the perspective of the real road scene. Further, the electronic control unit controls the optical projection unit to project the virtual image to the display area.

  • Patent number: 4890854
Abstract: An improved hitch pin assembly for releasably connecting a towed vehicle to a towing vehicle is disclosed. The hitch pin assembly includes a shaft and a generally C-shaped retaining arm, one end of which is pivotally supported at the top of the shaft for rotation between a first position in which it locks the pin in place in service and a second position in which it does not interfere with the removal of the pin. A magnet is positioned on the pin to retain the arm in the first position under most service conditions. The other end of the C-shaped arm includes a foot portion or guide bars to restrict that end from lateral movement relative to the shaft.

  • Patent number: 4770613
Abstract: A device for dispensing a viscous fluid from and charging a viscous fluid into a canister mounted on a housing of the device is disclosed. The device comprises a reversible auger-type pump including an auger having first and second ends. The first end of the auger is in communication with a nozzle conduit for conducting a viscous fluid between the first end of the auger and a nozzle provided on the nozzle conduit. The second end of the auger is in communication with the canister. The device further includes a motor and associated gearing for connecting the motor to the auger in driving relationship. Power cell means are provided to supply current to the motor. The polarity of the current so supplied is controllable by a switch so that, when current of a given polarity is supplied to the motor, the auger will rotate in a first direction to fill the canister and when the polarity of the current is reversed, the auger will rotate in the opposite direction to dispense from the canister.
