  • Publication number: 20130144235
Abstract: A portable NPWT system includes a dressing assembly for positioning over a wound to apply a negative pressure to the wound and a canister assembly. The canister assembly includes a control unit having a vacuum source and a controller and a collection canister in communication with the dressing assembly operable to receive fluid from the wound. The collection canister has ports to introduce a vacuum from the vacuum source into the collection canister. A ball float is provided to substantially close the suction port in response to one of collection of a predetermined volume of exudate in the collection canister, tilting of the collection canister beyond a predetermined angle of orientation or inversion of the collection canister.
    Type: Application
    Filed: June 5, 2012
    Publication date: June 6, 2013
    Applicant: TYCO HEALTHCARE GROUP LP
Inventors: James Augustine, Scott Wudyka, William Durkin, Steven Kleis

  • Publication number: 20070238190
Abstract: A poly(arylene ether)-containing resin composition or article may be authenticated by a method that includes at least partially extracting a pH sensitive compound from the resin composition or the article with a solvent, wherein the resin composition or the article includes a poly(arylene ether) and the pH sensitive compound; mixing the solvent having the extracted pH sensitive compound with an acidic solution or a basic solution to form an observation mixture; and observing the observation mixture to determine if a predetermined color change occurred in the observation mixture.

  • Publication number: 20070238831
Abstract: A resin composition includes a poly(arylene ether) and a pH sensitive compound capable of providing a color change when the pH sensitive compound is at least partially extracted from the resin composition and is added to a basic or acidic solution.

  • Publication number: 20060247338
Abstract: A thermoplastic composition is disclosed, containing poly(arylene ether) resin; vinyl aromatic resin; a hindered amine light stabilizer; an ultraviolet light absorbing compound, and about 0.1% by weight to about 2.0% by weight of titanium dioxide, based on the total weight of poly(arylene ether) resin and vinyl aromatic resin. Other thermoplastic compositions described herein contain poly(arylene ether) resin; vinyl aromatic resin; an ultraviolet light absorbing compound, and at least one methine yellow colorant. Molded articles prepared from these compositions are also described.
