    Abstract: A spray gun adapter establishes fluid communication between a fluid pump of a handheld airless spray gun and an applicator accessory. The adapter comprises an adapter body, a head attached to the adapter body, and a protrusion. The adapter body comprises an upper portion, a lower portion, a radial inlet located in a sidewall of the adapter body between the upper and lower portions, and an adapter bore having a first diameter in fluid communication with the radial inlet. The head comprises a cavity in fluid communication with the adapter bore and having a second diameter larger than the first diameter, an adapter outlet located in the upper portion of the adapter body and in fluid communication with the cavity, and a handle extending radially from the head. The protrusion extends radially from the adapter body between the upper and lower portions of the adapter body.

The apparatus, which has the capability to track a guidewire, uses a multilumen catheter to deliver radially thrombolytic agent to an infusion zone defined by one or more balloon means. In one aspect, with an occluder means, a primary lumen of the catheter is used both for catheter placement and delivery of fluid. The method discloses utilization of radiopaque indicia to place the catheter in proximity to the occlusion or diseased tissue to be treated. The kit includes a catheter of the invention in conjunction with a steerable guidewire and a tip occluder wire, either or both of the tip occluder wire and the guidewire having an enlargement on their distal tip which cooperates with a reduced diameter portion of the catheter lumen.

    Abstract: An ablation catheter that includes radially disposed inflatable chambers is provided. The ablation catheter includes an elongate catheter body and an electrode structure mounted on the distal end of the catheter body. The electrode structure includes a plurality of radially disposed inflatable chambers. The elongate catheter body may be composed of an inner shaft having an inner shaft lumen, a stiffening mandrel disposed within the inner shaft lumen, and an outer shaft having an outer shaft lumen, wherein the inner shaft is disposed within the outer shaft lumen. The outer shaft includes a plurality of inflation lumens in communication with the interior regions of the inflatable chambers, which deliver an inflation medium to the inflatable chambers. The inner shaft includes a plurality of lumens that house electrical leads for delivering ablation energy to the electrode structure.

    Abstract: A flat-form separation device (12) is made of two half-section members (22, 22') which are fastened together by a series of fasteners (38) to define therebetween a receiving channel within which an expansion device (40) is received. Aside from the receiving channel and any apertures which are to receive mechanical fasteners, the separation device (12) is solid throughout and free of other channels or cavities. The device (12) includes a pair of joinder flanges formed by mating half-flange segments (28a and 28b), which contain apertures (32 and 34) by which the flat-form separation device (12) may be secured to structures (48, 50) which are to be temporarily joined by the device (12). Because of the cross-sectional profile of the half-section members (22, 22'), they may be made by manufacturing techniques, such as machining, which enable the use of alloys or metals which are much tougher and stronger than those which can be extraded to form prior art hollow-form separation devices (14).

The manifold (130) may be coupled to a separation device (23) that includes a frangible joint (24) through which is disposed an expansion member (110).

    Abstract: First and second sealed, sterile containers, having respectively communicating first and second fluid transfer tubes, the tubes having diaphragms occluding the bores thereof, may be connected together in sterile manner for the sterile transfer of the contents of one container to the other. To accomplish this, one point of a double-pointed, hollow spike is inserted into each of the bores of the fluid transfer tubes, at the free ends thereof, the spike being proportioned to tightly and sealingly fit into each bore of the fluid transfer tubes. Thereafter, the spike and that portion of the tubes extending from the diaphragms to the free ends thereof are sterilized. Then the points of the spike are moved to rupture the diaphragms, to open a flow channel, and the sterile contents are transferred. The fluid transfer tube of the container receiving the desired sterile contents is then resealed, prior to breaking sterility by opening the connection.
