  • Publication number: 20160324344
Abstract: A closure for a lid may provide controlled access to at least one opening in the lid. The closure may include an activator pivotally coupled to the lid, a cover pivotally coupled to the lid, and a connecting member pivotally coupled to the activator and the cover. The activator, the cover and the connecting member may form an over center latching mechanism. In addition, the activator may be pivotally connected to the lid about a first axis of rotation, the cover may be pivotally connected to the lid about a second axis of rotation, the connecting member may pivotally connected to the activator about a third axis of rotation, and the connecting member may be pivotally connected to the cover about a fourth axis of rotation. The distance between the first and second axes of rotation may be constant, and the distance between the third and fourth axes of rotation may change as the cover is moved.

  • Publication number: 20160264320
Abstract: A lid may include a lower portion and an upper portion that is pivotally attached to the lower portion. The lid may also include a locking member coupled to a bottom surface of the upper portion of the lid. The locking member may be slidable between a locked and an unlocked position. When the locking member is in the locked position, the upper portion of the lid may be pivotally coupled to the lower portion of the lid and movable between an open position that allows the one or more fluids to be poured from the container and a closed position that prevents the one or more fluids from being poured from the container.

  • Patent number: 9120598
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a stackable container system that includes containers and lids that are configured to allow any of the lids to be used on any of the containers. The bottom of each container interlocks with the top of each lid to allow the containers to be stacked. A handle may also be included that is configured to attach to any of the lids to form a handle for carrying a stack of the interlocked containers. The stackable container system may also include a storage container, such as a beverage bottle, for storing a stack of interlocked containers. Accordingly, each container can be used to store ingredients that are to be later combined in the storage container for consumption. The lids can be configured to be heated or cooled to provide heating or cooling to contents of the container or to the storage container in general.

  • Publication number: 20150136772
Abstract: Closures having an integrated push button latching assembly including an end wall, a skirt wall depending from the end wall, an outlet opening associated with the end wall, a protrusion associated with the end wall and a push button latching assembly are disclosed. The push button latching assembly is pivotally coupled to the closure and is movable between a first position in which the outlet opening is covered by the assembly and a second position in which the outlet opening is exposed. The push button latching assembly includes a retaining mechanism, a closing member coupled to the retaining mechanism, a push button coupled to the retaining mechanism, and a tongue coupled to the retaining mechanism. The tongue is configured to engage the protrusion when the push button latching assembly occupies the first position and disengage the protrusion such that the push button latching assembly is movable to the second position.
