  • Patent number: 8731603
Abstract: A radio frequency signal distribution module and panel for receiving such a module are disclosed. One module includes a housing having a front and a rear, a radio frequency signal input connection positioned on the rear of the housing, and a plurality of radio frequency signal output connections positioned on the rear of the housing. The module also includes a splitter within the housing and connecting the radio frequency signal input connection to the plurality of radio frequency signal output connections. Certain modules include an active attenuation component connected to and providing programmable attenuation of a radio frequency signal output connection from among the plurality of radio frequency signal output connections. Other modules include a data port on the housing, the data port configured to communicate information about radio frequency signals within the module to a computing system remote from the module.

  • Patent number: 8437344
Abstract: A telecommunications apparatus includes a switching matrix. The telecommunications apparatus also includes a plurality of conductive user output locations and a plurality of conductive network input locations. For any given user output location there exists a conductive path coupling the given user output location to a corresponding network input location. The telecommunications apparatus also includes a plurality of switches. For any given conductive path, a switch is interposed therein, and each switch has a first state in which the given conductive path is unaltered, and a second state in which the given conductive path is altered, so that the given conductive path couples the corresponding user output location to the switching matrix. The aforementioned telecommunications apparatus may be networked with other such telecommunications apparatuses.

  • Publication number: 20070211883
Abstract: A telecommunications apparatus includes a housing. A plurality of circuit boards are fastened in a vertical column within the housing. Each circuit board has a cross-connect distribution unit (CDU) disposed thereupon, and each CDU includes a plurality of user output locations, network input locations, service input locations, supplemental input locations, and supplemental output locations. The telecommunications apparatus also includes a back plane circuit board fastened within the housing. The backplane circuit board includes a connector corresponding to each of the plurality of circuit boards. Each of said circuit boards mates with a corresponding connector.
