  • Publication number: 20040159047
Abstract: A mechanical power conversion device for receiving rotary power from a rotary power supply and delivering two independent power outputs, the conversion device having: a drive screw connectable to the rotary power supply, a drive nut engaging the drive screw to receive a drive nut axial force and drive nut torsion therefrom, the drive nut axial force being parallel to the drive screw and the drive nut torsion being about an axis of the drive screw. One of the two independent power outputs is connected to the drive nut to receive the drive nut axial force and the second is connected to the drive nut to receive the drive nut torsion so that power from the rotary power supply flows to either or both of the first independent power output and the second independent power output.

  • Patent number: 6739092
Abstract: A door lock for at least one door panel mounted on a door operator attached to a transit vehicle. Such door operator includes a door drive. The door lock having a lock shaft mounted on the operator of such door panel. The lock shaft is oriented in a direction disposed substantially parallel to an opening direction and a closing direction of such at least one door panel. At least one primary lock device connected to such lock shaft, the primary lock device engageable with such door drive for preventing motion thereof. At least one secondary lock device connected to such lock shaft. The secondary lock device engageable with at least one of such door panel and a hanger for such door panel for preventing movement thereof. At least one lock cam mounted on the hanger for engaging such lock shaft for rotating the lock shaft from an unlocking position to a locking position when such at least one door panel is moved in such door closing direction to a closed position of such at least one door panel.

  • Publication number: 20020184823
Abstract: Door operator for opening, closing and locking at least one door panel on a transit vehicle. It has at least one base portion for mounting on the vehicle and at least one fixed support member attached to the base portion(s) . It has door hanger(s) for attachment of the door panel(s) and moveable door support member(s) attached to the door hanger(s). The moveable door support member(s) engage the fixed support member(s) to support the door panel(s) while permitting opening and closing motions of the panel(s) . The operator includes at least one door drive having base mounted portion(s) and hanger mounted portion(s), the hanger mounted portion(s) engaging the base mounted portion(s) to be moved thereby to move the panel(s) in opening and closing direction(s).

  • Patent number: 6139073
Abstract: A door lock for locking a sliding door on a transit vehicle. The lock has a base for attachment to the transit vehicle and a lock cam having a slot for engaging a door lock element attached to the door. A pivot is connected to the base and to the lock cam to provide a rotary connection of the lock cam to the base. A lock actuator is attached to the base. The lock actuator includes a moveable actuator portion for engaging the lock cam to prevent rotation of the lock cam to lock the door. The actuator also has an energized actuator portion for withdrawing the moveable actuator portion from engagement with the lock cam to release the lock cam and unlock the door. The energized actuator portion is connectable with a control system for the transit vehicle door. The lock also has a manual release mounted to engage the moveable actuator portion to move it from engagement with the lock cam to release the lock cam and hence unlock the door.
