  • Patent number: 5766102
Abstract: A training device for batters which aids a batter in practicing and developing the batting swing including an upright member having a number of arm engagement fittings. The upright member has a horizontal member attached at approximately its midpoint, for supporting the device on a support structure, typically a toprail of a fence. The upright member is secured to the fence or other support structure by a tensionable strap. A horizontal arm is removably mountable in any of the vertically oriented arm engagement mechanisms. A tether depends by its first end from the horizontal arm. A ball is slideably adjustable along the tether. The second end of the tether is attached to the support structure to limit travel of the ball and tether. Because the training device for batters has a number of locations along the length of the upright member at which the horizontal arm member is mountable, the device may be attached to and used on support structures having a variety of heights.

  • Patent number: 5676276
Abstract: A buffet table food pan having a pair of side walls and a pair of end walls extending upwardly from a bottom panel. A top flange extends outwardly from the walls. The flange is in sealing engagement with the buffet table when it is placed therein. The flange has a notch defined at each end, so that a space is defined between the flange and the table. The space defines a ledge which can be grabbed, or under which utensils can be placed for the purpose of lifting the pan or removing the pan from the table.

  • Patent number: 5520103
Abstract: A heat retentive server for maintaining food at a desired temperature for an extended period of time includes an upper and lower shell which define a cavity therebetween. A heat storage medium comprised of a phase change material is disposed in the cavity. When the server is heated, the phase change material changes from a solid to a viscous gelatinous state and stores heat therein. When the material cools and changes from its viscous gelatinous state back to a solid, the heat is released through the shell so that food placed adjacent the server will be maintained at an elevated temperature.

  • Patent number: 5340101
Abstract: A training apparatus for baseball players includes an arm assembly for rested engagement with a fence or other support. A brace depends from the arm and engages the fence. An elastic tie-down urges the brace into fence engagement to lock the arm assembly in place. A tether carried by the arm outer end passes through a baseball which is adjustably supported in place along the tether by a cable clamp. The lower end of the tether is anchored in a yieldable manner to a fence component. An elastic member serves to inhibit tether movement. The tether is clamped at its upper end to the arm with an end segment clamped in place to a plate on the arm.
